. : | : . Alec stared at the sun, thinking over her words. For not the first time he was at a loss of words. Thousands of responces came to mind, but none of them would really help this situation out. He clenched and unclenched his hands in his pockets. The rub of the denim along his hands gave him enough of a regular rythm for him to think clearly. While his headache pounded on he let his eyes slip close and think about her question. A grimace pulled at his lips as he realized he didn't know an answer to that one question. They had known each other for what? A few days? A week and a half max? That didn't really leave him much time to get to know her. Yet somehow he had this feeling... He was drawn to her by more then just a small crush, even a mutual liking of each other. It was too soon to tell if the 'L' word was really what it would be called. Alexander softly bit his lip, staring off into the darkening forest. He started from the beginning and worked his way through all the memories. By the water in the creek, he couldn't see a thing. A girl had been sitting there, he just hadn't noticed her. When his power had caught, she helped him through it. The flames somehow had been drawn to her. He didn't understand that then, nor now. After a night with each other then, he could faintly remember a few events unfolding. The next major thing he could distinctly remember was the dogs. They had attacked and the auburn haired girl had become a dino and took him back to the creek. Once there, what he thought had been an alien sort of experiment had appeared. Turned out that first impression was way off. The girl had tried to eat him, and then Unknown -Also known as Snake,- had stopped the fight. Healed them both. After many fights between them, for some reason the two had stuck together. They had been through many fights and battles, and somewhere in their Alec had grown feelings for the girl now called Lew. As he thought back to that morning he realized something. She had gone in as a dog who was fighting for him, come out a dog fighting him, and he somehow was still alive. Alec rose his head and snapped his eyes open sharply. It was much more then dark, to him it was a sleet of blackness. He had stood there thinking for about an hour from when she'd asked that question about his true feelings. His body was sore by the time he quietly took small steps to the fire she had built. Brushing twigs away with one tennis shoe, he softly dropped to the forest floor. With a sharp crack of his neck and knuckles, Alec turned back to face Lew. "I'll be honost. At first? No, this morning I wasn't really sure of what all I felt for you. Was it- The 'L' word? Probably not." His voice was strangely quiet and careful as he talked. The end was whispered out, his eyes averted from her as he stared at the flames. He had to pause again. In his pause he grit his teeth and forced himself to look at the girl he was sitting next to. "But- that was then. That was before I realized what all we had been through. You've tried to kill me three- no, four times now? I think? Yeah, that sounds about right.. That point aside. Everytime you have come that close to killing me, something has stopped you. I can't exactly say what did, but every time something stopped you in your attack. We've been through countless battles, and now, I'm not going to let a simply question about the 'L' word stumble me." Alexander looked over at her, a smile hinting again at his lips. "You want my honost answer? Than listen up. No matter what happens, good or bad, chasing or being chased, attacking or being attack, flame powers or not, black heart or real, hurt or healthy, in my heart and in my mind I know that I truelly do love you. Not like, not a little flimsy crush, not l-u-v, or w-o-v-e you. L-O-V-E, full on." In a rather good mood now, not thinking that Lew might be embarrassed or uncomfortable, Alec dropped onto his back and hollered out to the sky. "Thats right! Watch our world because I've fallen for the girl!" Complete with an air punch and all, Alec seemed to be in a rather good mood now. He turned his head to look at the girl in mention. A blush then crawled onto his cheeks as he realized that his words may or may not been a little awkward for her to hear. He really hadn't thought of what he was going to say before he spoke. It just flowed off his tongue as if it was natural.

. : | : .Elizabeth JordanWith reality knocking on the window, should you let it in, or just ignore it and let yourself live in a dream world full of nightmares?
. : | : . Her lips pursed together at his comment about her 'little heart'. Even with the fact that he had a different form, Liz still didn't like the fact that he had called her heart little. It was very much so the opposite. Right now it felt it might burst, yes, but that was to be expected after having an encounter with death, trying to save a girl from said death, and now finding out someone was trying to drag her to meet someone whom she had no clue was. Needless to say, when he started to talk again she got had to snap back into attention and glare up at him as he spoke. Friend or foe...? Her gaze softened a little, trying to really realize what was going on. Eyeing him with much less of a glare, Elizabeth tried to sort out what made her think he was a foe. He had randomly jumped out and scared the living daylights out of her. Instead of simply appearing and asking for her to follow him, he went about and dragged her away from Milo. She shifted a bit, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
She parted her lips with her tongue to wet them before closing her mouth again and gazing up at Ratchet. There were reasons as to why she immiedately thought him foe, but now he seemed to be nice about it. Liz watched him toss the sword onto the ground in front of her. She stared at it for a moment, taking in the shining glow of the metal reflected off the sun. It was amazing. After he spoke she could still not move her eyes from the wonderful iron and gold mixture. The hilt of the sword seemed so detailed even from where she sat. It did surprise her though that he would simply give her the sword, even to protect herself... Watching him run off she could only switch her gaze back to the dazzling sword, her fingers itching to try it out. Quickly she stood and brushed off her pants. Letting the heels of her shoes kick up dust as she walked a few steps forward, she could barely hold back her excitement as she scooped down to pick it up. Upon first movement she grabbed the blade by her fingers. The sharp sword instantly cut her finger's along the middle digits. When her healing ability kicked in she stared at the cuts light headed. Her energy was already tapped, so having her powers come into focuse wasn't exactly the best thing in the world for her. "Wha...?"
Her eyes swam for a moment until she managed to snap out of her daze. Allowing her eyes time to swerve around her, she barely noticed that the sword was gone from her hands. An annoyed grunt escaped Elizabeth as she turned her head to look around her. What had happened? A breeze of air tickled her brown locks, making her turn back to face forwards again.
A girl with whispy black hair that hung around her shoulders and back was standing to her left. The sword was in her right hand, the sun reflecting again off the blade. The white dress she wore made her seemingly one with the element of sword-play. Every stroke, every thrust, every pierry, the girl looked as if to have experience in it all. Liz stared at the girl as she flicked her bangs out of her face as she side-stepped and sliced the air with the sleek sword. The young Healer swore she heard the wind whistle. Who was this girl that had somehow appeared before her? And why could she handle such a weapon so easily? The sheath that hung around her belted waist gave it away, though her own sword was missing frm its place. It was a mystery worth solving, she dimly noted.
