Frank chuckled to himself as he heard Emeralds words, before turning back to face her, his frail body seemingly more filled out, yet his cough still clung to his chest.
As Emerald scuffled about uneasily, Frank frowned, he'd never seen her this agitated and when she answered he knew she was hiding something from him, his fiery heart took over as she turned away from him "The truth Emerald, you were clearly distressed this morning" he said loudly, voice gruff "What happened when I left?" he asked suddenly, tone dark and questioning as he walked up so he was a few feet away, fingers clenching the opposite arm as they clasped around his chest.

Emerald looked down at the floor again, her knuckles white as she gripped the side of the pantry door. She turned her face slightly so she could see him, but she let her hair hang in front of her eyes, as if hiding there made her feel better. "I just didn't know where you were. I thought...." she bit her lip for a moment. "I thought it was just another dream." Her last sentence was barely audible and then she again turned her face away from him.

Frank frowned for a second "Dream?" he questioned openly, he then walked forwards and sunk down so he was crouching and looking up at Emerald "Tell me about them, it wll make you feel better" he said soothingly, grasping her free hand and rubbing his thumb over her palm, a slight lopsided smirk on his lips as his blue yes willed her to go on. For once in his sodden life, Frank was beggining to feel more than guilt and worry.

Emerald looked down at him, grasping his hand, still hiding her eyes behind her hair. "I have this dream, not as often as it used to be, but still often. I would dream that you would come back, but when I would wake up you wouldn't be there." She paused, taking a shaky breath. "And when I couldn't find you this morning I just...I kind of lost it." she admitted.

Frank smiled, and looked down slightly biting his lip, before looking up again with a slight laugh "No matter what your dream shows, I'm not going anywhere" he said, standing up a moving her hair out of her eyes "I promise that every morning I will stay with you until you wake up, and if I'm not there I give you permission to give me a good hiding, okay Em?" he said playfully, with a slight sigh and kissing the top of her head "Now, what are we to do this morning?" he questioned, trying to divert the conversation for Emeralds sake.

Emerald laughed a little and wrapped her arms around his neck as he stood up. "You sure you want to give me that permission?" she asked jokingly. "'Cause I'll make good use of it." She smiled, feeling immensly better. "I don't know, what do you feel like doing?"

Frank raised his brow and smiled "I'm regretting the decision already" he said with a fake groan, resting his hands on Emeralds hips "Well I was thinking of going out hunting, the wild boar should be thriving this time of year" he offered "But its completely up to you,love" he added with a light hearted shrug.

Emerald smirked. "As you should." she teased back. "Hunting sounds fun. Besides, we need a celebratory dinner. Arrowin seemed worked up about something good too, so I think a boar would do just the thing."

Frank nodded "Great, let's go get the horses ready and set offin the next hour or so, okay?" he said, releasing his grasp from Emerald and walking to the door, holding it open for her so she could walk through before then heading to the stables to tack up Diad who was dozing peacefully.

Emerald nodded and smiled, following him outside. "Sounds perfect." she replied.
