.. All hooded/bareback babies? Lucky!

I have to rehome Sadie & Simeon /together/ since Sadie is being so aggressive to all the others ;/ BUT..

I might be getting a pregnant female. or a male & having him neutered.

Why are you rehoming them and where's the pregnant girl coming from?

Simeon is shy and is bonded to Sadie - Sadie is far too aggressive with my other girls, and has put scars on my newest baby girl. ;/

I don't want to risk anymore fights.

and the pregnant girl is a 'low grade' feeder from the pet shop.. but I'm a sucker for the mommas. While I have extra space, figured I'd go ahead and get her so she isn't sent back to where ever it is she came from.. where she probably would have just died. still not certain though, may have a friend take her.

I have /huge/ glass tanks and the one I was going to keep them in accidentally.. broke. I won't be able to buy a spare cage (I wanted a barred one, but Sadie does /not/ like it for some reason.. oddball rat) for a few weeks due to my medication costing a fortune and in my parents eyes, meds = more important. I have someone that'll take them, so I'll still get to see them and everything.. it just sucks having to get rid of rats you've had since.. well.. they were itty bitty little things. I'm trying one last time to keep her with the others.. so far so good.. just hoping she doesn't gang up on Syria :c syria is still half her size.. while Simeon is barely bigger than her, which I don't quite get.. all of my girls were bought as small rats but they've grown to medium sizes except Sims. but.. Syria, like I said, half the size of Sadie and Sharkie. Sharkie adores her to death, as does Sailar & Simeon.. but.. Sadie.. I don't know. are amber rats just.. aggressive? I had another like her that was the same way. The only amber I've had that hasn't been aggressive was my dear Fluke.

Also, Shark all of a sudden has scabby feeling skin.. mites? or?.. how can this be treated? I shouldn't have her so close to my new /lip/ piercing but I have her in my shirt cuddled up and away from the others right now. think she will be until I figure out what's up.

ShadiSan, how are you going to be able to take in a pregnant girl, and then be able to have her in a suitable house (tanks aren't the best for any rats, let alone babies who need to be able to climb around), and then have another cage for when you take the baby boys away from their mum? You took on the two girls, getting rid of them is just not fair at all. I'd concentrate on the ratties you have right now rather than just rehome them and then take on even more!

Okay, I'm thinking about getting another rat but I'm not sure whether to get an older male or an energetic male. I have three. Jacob and Marlo are hyperactive males, they never matured like most male rats and are much like females. Then I have Pablo who is an older lazy male. Jacob and Marlo like jumping on him which he doesn't like so he stays on his own at the bottom of the cage most of the time. I don't know whether to get an old male to keep Pablo company when he's being a loner or an energetic male to play with Jacob and Marlo. Any thoughts? :)

Jacob and Marlo are already friends, so I would get a lazy one to keep Pablo company. I'm not an expert or anything; this is just what I'd do.. ^.^;

My rat, Amadeus, is usually pretty lazy and low to modrate energy level. But I think it might just be because he's lonely/bored in his cage because when he gets out of his cage all he wants to do is run around and explore. He's an older guy, over a year old. I got him from someone who had kept him alone as long as they've have him, so he hasn't had a buddy in a long time. I don't know what kind of companion I should get him. Should I get him another older male, or a baby?

My thought would be to get an older, or less energetic buddy for Pablo since Jacob and Marlo already have each other. :)

.. All of a sudden Sadie is really sweet.

Like.. before she was aggressive to Syria.. I kept her out of the cage, syria's scent got around and I guess she didn't feel threatened or something anymore..

if anymore fights break out shes being pulled out again.. but I think I'm going to try keeping them all.

I was thinking that I get an old boy but Jacob and Marlo keep jumping on Pablo and he doesn't seem to like it so it makes it abit harder as I was thinking an excitable male to distract the two brothers but I Dino xD
