Description
Tom is small for a hobbit, sometimes making him feel slightly vunerable. He has huge green eyes and curly, dark brown hair. Tom has long legs, so he hasn't got a very good balance and sometimes trips. He wears the tipical hobbit clothes, but secretly wears chain- mail underneath when in danger.
Personality
Tom, like all hobbits, is fairly lazy, and enjoys his food. His favourite thing to do is to sit in the sun and smoke his pipe. He is friendly, but can sometimes be shy around "big people". He is more of a follower instead of a leader,and usually lets his friends Cory and Piper make decisions, but when he wants to, he can be a brave little hobbit, fighting till the end for the sake of his friends. Tom enjoys the company of Rosie Gamgee, who is his best friend along with Piper and Cory. Deep inside, he longs for adventures, but always misses his comfortable bed and food. Tom has a kind heart, and is willing to give anything for the good of this world and his friends. He is honest and doesn't like lying or betraying anyone. On the other hand, he is very intelligent and a good thinker, instead of being more active.

History
Tom was raised in the Shire, and never knew that he would go on such an important mission as the famous Frodo Baggins. He always wanted to travel, but his hobbit life finally seemed to settle when his parents refused. Shortly after he recieved the letter, Tom packed his bags and decided to go to Rivendell.
Strengths
His kindness and loyalty. He knows how to use a small sword and is very intelligent.
Weaknesses
He sometimes trusts everyone as if they were all honest. He can be fooled and betrayed easily, and he always tells the truth.

I bite my lip. I hadn't told anyone about the letter I'd gotten, but hey, I knew Tom well...
