Tessa snorted at Lucien's comment. "I'd rather not." By the time he returned to the main room, her eyes were beginning to flutter closed. She was absolutely exhausted and she wondered how much longer Lucien would want her to stay awake. "How is he?" she asked as she tried to blink away the sleep threatening to pull her under.

"Hungry, but he's fine." Lucien said simply, sitting in Vicente's chair as he folded his legs. His bare torso barely moved with each silent breath the Assassin took, his hands folded as he looked to Tessa. "You can sleep, now." he told her. He'd just keep an eye on her to make sure she didn't slip into a critical zone.

[Falls]

At Lucien's last words, Tessa's lids fell heavily, blocking out the light of the living room and finally allowing her to fall into the deep sleep she'd been yearning for the moment Lucien had finished up the last stitch. Her breathing deepened and evened out as best as it could. At best, they were halting, rasping breaths. At the worst, they were suffocating wheezes.

Lucien kept his eyes on her as she slept. The human body always fascinated him. He had taken it apart, but he had never put it back together. He watched the rise and fall of her chest with each struggled breath. The extreme palor of her skin that blood had stained not long ago. The fluttering of sliced organs. He'd seen it all. He'd done it all, as well. But for the first time, he had reversed those actions in order to save a life. And that certainly didn't sound like him.

Tessa slept for a horrendusly long time, even for her. She didn't even begin to wake until the sun had risen and set once over, leaving the moon to rule over the skies for the night. She woke up with a sharp intake of breath, turning her head to the side to cough up a bit of extra blood from last night's scare. After three quick coughs she whimpered. The movement hurt her lung. Tessa opened her gray-blue eyes and turned her head towards the wide expanse of the living room, searching for Lucien or Vicente.

Vicente was in his chair now, and Lucien was not in the room. Vicente held the book; "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", in the middle of the thick book. His crimson eyes flicked up as Sigma coughed, and he frowned. He wondered whether he should give her more of the pain medicine Lucien showed him.

[He's reading harry potter? that's one of my favorite books =D]
Tessa saw Vicente in his chair and smiled. "At it again, hm? What book is it this time?" Her voice was soft and tired, but the rasp wasn't so prominent now. "Is it- urg!" A sudden pain cut her off when she tried to move as she spoke. She gritted her teeth and closed her eyes, focusing on her breathing as she clutched lightly at her side. "Agh... That bites."
[its about this kid who's a sociopath that really enjoys causing pain and seeing how it affects the one who the pain is inflicted upon. But he tries real hard to keep his sadistic killer tendencies locked up until a serial killer shows up in town. Then things get interesting. Anyway, your post about lucien taking bodies apart and being fascinated with the human anatomy reminded me of that kid in the book. Theyre both pretty similar when it comes to their psycho-ness =P]

Vicente stood quickly as she gasped and clutched at her side, hurrying to her. He opened the drawer, pulling out the medicine. "It's Harry Potter, the last one." he said softly, holding the pills out of her. "I can get you a drink, if you'd like. I believe Lucien left to attend to some... business." Vicente said with a frown.

[Falls]

Tessa immediately grew worried upon hearing Vicente's tone. "Is he coming back with another bullet wound then? Because I highly doubt we'd be able to patch him back up between the two of us." She reached a slim hand out and took the bottle of pills, momentarily startled at how pallid her skin was against the plastic of the container. How much blood had she lost again?

"No no, nothing like that. It's something to do with the Brotherhood. He went to the Sanctuary to have a chat with the Listener." Vicente said, frowning as he sat on the floor beside her. "You're actually paler than I, now." he chuckled softly, flicking his crimson eyes to Sigma.
