Lilith strolled around the city, the adrenaline and euphoria of her human vessel propelling her through most of the night before she eventually collapsed on the ground for lack of sleep. The last thought she had was how inconvenient these bodies were. It didn't take long for her to completely black out and wake up later, the sun nearing its apex. How long was she out? Groaning, Lilith sat up straighter from her collapsed seated position against a building's wall and waved away a pickpocket that was trying to find anything of value with Lilith. She didn't really have anything that would be useful to a human street rat, but the annoyance of having one around was not appealing to Lilith.
Sighing, Lilith rose and stretched out her stiff muscles. Perhaps a stone wall wasn't the best place for her to sleep. Cracking her neck, Lilith wandered about the city for a while, tracing her fingers along the edifice and humming an aimless tune, making random turns as she explored, reveling in the lack of interaction and silence she was in.

Kay didn't sleep; she rarely ever did, at least not at night. Insomnia was a thing she was rather used to at this point, though her fear of the darkness made her seek comfort in high places. It was better, and more manageable, when she watched the stars. From her perch on the roof of an abandoned building, she let her eyes take in the striking dawn sky, filled with its gold and blush pinks. It was always a wonder to her how the sparkling, velvet night sky could give way to this.
Her eyes flickered downward when she caught a movement out of her peripheral vision -- oh, just Faust. A flicker of empathy passed through her as she noticed his haunted gaze, the one so familiar to her, of a person waking from a nightmare. It must've been worse, for an angel who never dreamed before. She let her hair loose from its bun and ran her fingers through it, while her gaze traveled to Addan. How interesting. It was like the longer the demons and angels retained human forms, the more human they became. She wondered idly about the people whose bodies they possessed, and felt her mood become downcast. Where were they now?
"It's Kay, by the way." Her voice was quiet, although loud enough that she knew he could hear her, as she answered his semi-question from the day before. "And are you alright?"

Adam didn't like sleeping. It was a waste of time, and a pointless action, although he knew it was necessary to maintain his human vessel's healthy condition. At some point in the middle of the night, he had shifted back into his human form unconsciously. Annoyed at the messy disarray his hair had become, he tugged his fingers through the golden-brown locks, trying to keep them from sticking up. With an irritated growl, he gave up, and got to his feet. He didn't like his human form as much as he did his animal ones. While he wasn't adverse to the admiring looks he received, humans were fragile and easily tired, hence the reason he preferred his wolf form.
His mouth felt unusually dry as he ran his tongue over his lips, and he realized that he'd forgotten humans needed quite a bit of water to remain satisfied. So high maintenance, he thought with a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. Then, he stopped suddenly, staring at his hand as if it belonged to someone else. Which it did, but regardless. That had never been a habit of his before.
He growled again, not liking the fact that human instincts had so much sway over his actions. Tipping his head up, he looked for Kay, knowing that she'd be somewhere high up, for fear of being too vulnerable on the ground. On most occasions, he would've followed her, acutely aware of her fear of the dark, but he'd been tired, and he didn't even know when he'd fallen asleep.
Spotting her on a rooftop, he called, "Let's get going, I'm thirsty, and I need a new jacket."

Faust leaned against the wall behind him, letting a low growl escape his lips. Thus far Faust hadn't learned the concept of a sigh -- a growl was the closest he had come. He was terribly confused and terribly lost, feeling more unsure than he ever had in his life. And if Faust was one thing, it was certainly not unsure. There was always a finality in his words and actions that were never questioned. He did everything without hesitation, and, even if it wasn't the wisest thing to do, he had no regrets. But now...
A quiet voice interrupted his thoughts, and Faust turned his head slowly to look up at the halfing girl that sat above him. "I am... unsure," he said, and perhaps it was not true, but there seemed to be a sense of shame in his voice when he said the word. Feelings were bad enough as they were -- Faust had found things like Anger, and Frustration, and even something that didn't leave him in a bad mood, like Confidence. But feelings only seemed to get worse as they went along. Faust raised his hands, examining them -- the burn on his face was gone but the cuts remained, like something had pushed up under his skin and was stretching him too thin. Faust frowned. "But I will deal," he added after a long silence, even if that was only a half-truth.
Faust eyed the demon as he approached, glancing between the two with a flicker of irritation. "You and your friend should go," he rumbled, looking away with a hint of disapproval in his voice. "I will wait for Brea to wake."
[[ Choey, yup, that's kind of what my thoughts were since you had no one to RP with. I guess he kind of got swamped though. 030 ]]

Male, 22, Single, Human:
With: Demi
Jake was watching the sun raise from a broken window, his thoughts were of little at that time as he liked wtching the sun come up. It calmed him like nothing else and reminded him that he got the chance to live another day, it was something that few of his kind got now. He prayed silently to himself before turning to look at the sleeping Demi, she was really pretty and he couldn't believe his luck that he found another human and a strategist at that too. He wondered though if his luck was too good, he was worried that he made a bad judgement call as he still wasn't sure if she was a demon/angel or not. He hoped that she was a human but he wasn't sure, Better keep her at arms length. He thought just to make sure.
Jake looked out the window again but this time it was to make sure that the area was safe, he held his gun lightly in his hands as to make it easier for him to move quickly if he saw anyone that could be a protential threat. That was when he saw someone walking down the ruined street, his body went tense as he lifted the gun up and aimed. He wasn't going to shoot just yet as that would give away his position, he had to make sure that the person walking was friendly or not.
He knew that demons did some weird things in the morning that made them stand out from normal humans, Please be a human. He thought before glancing down at Demi quickly to make sure she was okay, if he had to shoot it was going to wake her and he had no doubt that she would be angry or scared once she was up from the sound of gun shots.
(( Magique, if you want to join Jake and Demi you can. I sort of set it up so that Jake can see her walking down the road. :) ))
Female, 21, Single, Angel
With: Faust, Kay and Addan.
Brea had been up for a while watching Faust toss and turn, she had no doubt that he was was what the human called a dream or a nightmare. She herself didn't have dreams, she wondered what it was like to dream but from the looks from Faust it wasn't pleasent. She kepted still as she layed on her back keeping still the best she could, she watched as Faust got up and walked away. She didn't go after him, sure she wanted to but the look he had when he got up was..... upset. Brea wasn't sure that if there was a better word that the humans would use but that was the only one that she could come up with.
Brea looked up at the lightening morning sky, she had no doubt that it would be a nice warm day, not hot but warm. She listened to the others as they talked but she didn't move, she just listened. Their voices were oddly comforting even if they were filled with frustation and annoyance, at least she wasn't alone. I feel more human then angel right now. She thought, maybe it was because she spent so much time studying them that she was beginning to feel like them or was it the vessel she was in? She wasn't sure, but she was pulled out of her thinking when Faust said her name. She moved her head up slightly to look at him, he was a thing of beauty with dark brown hair that looked a little messy but at the same time perfect. Humans would say he had a bit of an elf look, though she wan't quite sure what an elf looked like, though she assumed that it would look something like Faust. Her gentle gaze moved to his eyes then, they were dark and deep and filled with mystery. His eyes showed his age and the things he had seen and did, he was so much older then she was and she began to wonder why he had agreed for her to tag along with him. Since she was a little less then a millenia old and would be consider a child compaired to him, I am unworthy...... She thought but stopped herself, as she began to sit up.
She looked up at Kay and smiled slightly, "Good morning Kay." She said brightly, which she was a little suprised at since her thoughts earlier weren't so up lifting. She looked at the demon then and just nodded at him, she didn't like him but she would put up with him so long that he didn't cause trouble. She looked at Faust again once she was standing and smiled, she wanted to ask if he was okay but she figured that she would ask later when they were out of ear shot of Kay and her demon companion.
(( If it's alright with you Runningdawn, I would like to change Brea's power of speed to her having incoherent visions of the future? Is that okay?? ))

Kay blinked down at him for a moment, then tilted her head back up to look at the sky. "I'm sorry," she admitted, her apology genuine this time. "I'm sorry if Addan and I are making it even harder." Her gaze then travelled to his hands, and she winced, adding, "There are things called band-aids for that, you know."
Upon hearing Brea's voice, Kay turned and offered the angel a smile of greeting as well. "Hi, Brea," she greeted. The female angel looked like she was stuck an internal struggle of emotions. Kay furrowed her brow; it was true. Angels and demons seemed to become more human every day.
She laughed at Addan's reasons for his impatience and stared at Faust and Brea, so they knew her question was directed to the both of them. "Are you ready to go?" Her nose wrinkled at the looks they gave Addan. "Don't judge him before you get to know him."

Adam inclined his head calmly in reply to Brea's half-greeting, and completely ignored the irritation in Faust's voice. Instead, he slid easily into his wolf form and curled back on the ground, taking a deep, long breath of air. He began to mentally compile a list of things that they'd need to pick up.
The demon was hesitant to include band-aids, but he grudgingly added it upon hearing Kay's comment to Faust. A wind ruffled his fur and he leaned into it unconsciously; such a nice constrast from the previous day's humid, stifling heat. He stretched in a doggish manner, then stiffened, smelling demon on the breeze.
Female ... definitely. Lilith? He wasn't certain, but he kept his eyes on the area around them.

Faust turned as he heard someone stirring, seeing Brea rise from her sleep. He couldn't help the feeling of relief creeping through him -- after all, Brea was the only other angel that he had met, and the having-wounds-even-though-he-was-supposed-to-heal-them thing was scaring him a little. He need to talk to someone about it, and for the time being Brea was really the only one he felt comfortable with doing that.
Band-aids, Faust thought ruefully as the halfing Kay spoke. "If something wasn't wrong, I wouldn't need "band-aids". He looked up at Kay as she asked if they were ready to go, straightening out his shoulders so he wasn't quite so hunched-up. "We may go," he said, sounding grave -- and then he sensed something. Something disgusting and all too familiar. "Lilith," he hissed under his breath, suddenly tensing up again. She was near, he could tell.
