Bursting out laughing, Ryder raised her eyebrows, tilting her head. Do those lines actually work for you? Her fingers still ran the length of her rim, around and around in a rhythmic manor. Her gaze flickered to where Faye disappeared to, suddenly wishing her best friend hadn't left her alone. Whipping her head around back to the strange guy in front of her, she leaned back, watching him. You do realize that seat is taken, right?

Is he you brother . . . That was all I needed to hear to realize there was a guy standing behind me. I grip onto my camera in case it is to be needed as a weapon and don't dare tak my eyes off Tyler. My tongue seems to swell and words are lost. I simply nod. Good job, Gabby, we are making progress! Now release your grip on the camera and offer him a sea on the bench. I release my grip on the camera immediately and it drops to the ground with a thunk. I slide over to the left side of the bench, so that he has room to sit down as well. "Tyler- His name is Tyler," I blurted out to the stranger suddenly. Good we can speak now. Try giving your name. I open my mouth,but close it just as quick when no words comes out and my eyes avert to the ground and my face is mostly hidden by my bangs. That's alright. Baby steps.

Li was not always the obnoxious, out there girl that she is now. She grew up in an upper middle class family, surrounded by a loving family; that is, a working father, stay at home mom, and 3 siblings: two brothers, and a sister. She was the youngest, and therefore the most spoiled. Her brothers never picked on her, and her sister had no trouble sharing make up. She was happy, until she hit high school. She got mixed into the wrong group of people, and the happy, loving girl turned into something else. Drugs, alcohol, parties, sex, self injury all entered Li's life, changing her forever. Her parents wanted nothing to do with the girl she had become, and her sister didn't know what to do with her. Only her two older brothers stayed with her, got her help, sheltered her when she was kicked out.

He awoke to sunlight and the chirps of birds. His fan ran in his room and he could feel the cool air swirling in the room. A large, black dog, named Gunther lay at the end of his bed. His dog was very much away, his long skinny tail wagged back and forth. His mouth hung open as if he was smiling, and his tongue was out of his mouth as he panted. Gunther looked at Tyler waiting patiently for him to get out of bed. Tyler sat up and leaned forward rubbing the top of the dog's head, his fingers getting lost in his fur. Finally, Tyler pulled the covers off and stood up. He watched Gunther jump off the bed and hit the carpet and trotted out of his room.

Tyler walked wearily over to his closet. He slid the sliding door to the left side and saw the silver chain hanging from the top of the closet. Tyler pulled the silver chain down until he heard a click, and released it. He grinned as the light turned on and he looked in his closet. He pulled out a white t-shirt with the New York Giants on it. He picked out a pair of cargo shorts with a tan colored belt and headed for the shower. He dried himself off afterwards and fixed his hair then put on the clothes he had picked out.

Once he got out of the bathroom, he headed downstairs and slipped on his grey vans and headed into the kitchen. He was looking for food, for breakfast really. He crave something healthy, but sweet. He let his hand brush against the counter top that was smooth and made of a fine wood. His hand got cold when he brushed against the metal sink. He lifted his hand to open the fridge and grabbed a beautiful green apple. He grazed the fridge. They always had healthy food that was fresh. His step-mother was always making new things to eat. She was a cook no less and to be honest, that's where his love of cooking came from. He absolutely loved her cooking and although his little brother was displeased, he ate her food anyway and enjoyed it.

Taking a bite from the apple he felt the juices pour out and drip down his lower lip. He smiled at the sweetness and ran his tongue over his lower lip drying it of the sticky juice. The apple was cold in his mouth and that's what he loved best. He headed for the front door walking through the hall. He took another bite of his apple as he looked at the framed photos that lined the walls. Family photos really. Sentimental supposedly. Riley wasn't much for photos or sentimental things. But, he didn't mind the photos, they gave the house a sense of stability and family. He looked ahead taking another bite before opening the door and walking outside.
