But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
'Cause I'm Mr Brightside

Gabe watched the demon approach where he was waiting, keeping at still as he could, holding his breath (not that he really needed to breath -- it was more of a habit than anything). She kept glancing up at him, not quiet knowing he was there but not doubting his presence, either. Perhaps he should've found a better place to hide.
The demon finally stopped, looking up in the tree, straight at him. Still, somehow, she didn't seem to see him, but Gabe knew that if he didn't just give it up she'd probably investigate for herself. This can still work, he thought to himself. He grimaced at the thought of what might happen if it didn't.
In slow motion Gabriel descended, the sound of wings beating softly splitting the silence, but still no manifestation of the feathered appendages appeared. Gabe didn't much like showing off his wings -- they were big and bulky and a silvery-grey that he really didn't like everyone staring at. However, he had heard that demons could see angel wings even if they were hidden from human veiw -- it might've just been a rumor, though. When he finally reached the ground, Gabe gave a cheeky grin and a little wave, tilting his head at the female demon ever so slightly.
"Lovely afternoon, isn't it?" he said conversationally, stalking forward a few steps. Not yet, he told himself, Patience, patience. Gabriel had always liked playing with his food.
