Amelia dashed us the front steps to the mansion, her morning had been occupied with helping her teacher diagnose a slipped disc in a poor corgi's back. "Ellis?" she said, poking her head into the lounge. "Good morning." she said pleasantly, swinging her backpack off her shoulder and opening the front pocket. "I was talking to Doctor Austin this morning, over x-raying an elderly corgi, and he said he's got just the trick for Cole's nerves. It calms anxiety perfectly he said." Amelia pulled out a small bottle of was appeared to be lotion. "Just rub this on his muzzle and cheeks when he's getting anxious, and the scents are a natural calming agent in the wild. Perfect for the poor guy." she handed over the small bottle with a trumphant smile. "He need's a rabies booster today, and the vitamin supplement for Rain and her soon foal should be in the mail today. If we want to have a health foal, and with Rain being under weight, we need an extra boost in her vitamin levels, especially when it comes to nursing."

Athena-
Athena poked her head up at the sound of clinking bowls. She stood to her paws and yawned, stretching out her legs. She kept her head low, but the tail still wagged on. She sniffed it curiously, Fish? I don't every remember having this before. With her head tilted she nibbled a bit, still unsure of this new stuff. I just want to play. She said, picking up the old tennis ball from the back of her kennel, and sitting in front of the cage door, waiting for Gavin to come let her out, she wanted to go investigate that horse thing today.

Dixie growled playfully as the boy jerked the toy. Her strong jowls were locked onto it, as she pulled back, taking a few steps back as she did so. She shook her head back and forth, trying to make the boy loose his grip, but to no avail. She'd have the rope toy soon enough, so she just went with the flow, and enjoyed playing.

Lotus shook her head, "No other then the cuts and the normal things that she needs checked up on. I mean yes we need to check how the foal is doing to." she said not thinking of anything else. "What else do you think we should check?" she asked wondering if there was anything else they needed.

Ellis slapped her forehead. "Of course, I almost forgot-- Hello, Amelia! That's fantastic. That will come in handy with the two new dogs. And very good with the vitamins, thank you for taking care of all that. You're learning so fast." Was there a hint of pride in her voice? "Walk with me while I tell you what we've decided." She began to roll her wheelchair through the house to the backdoor, preparing for the long road that lead to the stables. "So," the woman said, "We think that the only way we're going to get Rain to let us check her out is to knock her out. You know I wouldn't do it if it wasn't necessary, but she's terrified. So, you need to shoot her, and I'll need you to trim her hooves. I'll be able to help you, but I can't get a good angle at them. We're going to let the cuts be, because she'll just rip out any stitches we put in her. We're going to check the belly, but I don't think an ultrasound will show anything quite yet. We just need to make sure that everything feels right."

Gavin laughed, then gasped lightly as the big Rottie tore the toy out of his grip, sending him flying into the wet grass. He sighed and stood up, a grin still stretching his face, and he let Dixie out of the play area to go find Mrs. Willowby. He turned, seeing Athena drop a ball and look up at him. He moved slowly, so as not to startle her, and unlatched the gate, bending to pick up the tennis ball. "Wanna play, girl?" he said softly, waving it slightly in the air.

Phil sat silently on the porch, he had his own office and he could of spent his time in there but he really preferred being outside where he could feel the air and such. He was looking over the finances and the prepping an order for food as he did so. He pursed his lips chewing on the cap of his pen. The air pushed at his dark hair blowing it in his face, he sighed in annoyance and pushed his hair back. He sighed and glanced up studying the kennels, they would need at least a 100 pounds of food just for the dogs this month, maybe more...he scribbled down the number 2 next to the food for the dogs, and moved on. He finally landed on the horses and sighed wondering if he should order something special for the mare that had just brought in, he was pretty sure he'd caught somewhere along the way that she was pregnant. He closed his notebook gettiing to his feet he headed down towards the barns, he'd seen Ellis and Amelia head down there and hoped to catch them before they got to busy working with the horse. "Ellis," he called seeing the older woman, he had a certain fondness for her really.

Punk paced back and forth inside his kennel, the cool wind ruffling his shaggy coat, his yellow eyes staring balefully out of the kennel. He turned and paced the length again stopping to sniff the bedding and toys that had been put in with him and growled limping back towards the front his leg hurt, it hurt really bad but he wouldn't stop pacing, he was not happy being in a cage, he was not happy being around other dogs, and he was really NOT happy being around The Humans again. He grumbled and continued limping slowly back and forth across the front of his cell, his prison his own personal privet H***.

Ellis pulled up short, looking at the man. "Yes, Phillip?" she asked with a smile, ready to answer his questions. He seemed like a man to many people, but for some reason she couldn't help but think of him as a boy. She knew he'd been through a lot, but something in his eyes was still pure. Maybe she was imagining it, but she'd known right away that she wanted him working for her.

"Doctor Austin needs some credit, his teaching method is like listening to a song: Listen to it once, remember every word to it the second time you hear it." she said. Amelia nodded gravely as the topic of Rain came up. "Yes, I wonder if this lotion will work on her, though I highly doubt it. Rain is pretty unpredictable at this point, so its best to tranquilize her when she is in the most calm state. And for her, that seems to be with food. The only thing i'm worried about, is her collapsing when she's out. So we'll to harness her up in the stables, just to give her weary legs some support." Amelia spoke, putting her hands in her back pockets. She spun around and greeted Philip with a smile.

The puppy yipped wildly in her pen, she was so young, and so full of energy. Maybe some chase, a game of chase would be fun. she thought, attempting to snatch her ball back from Gavin. She slipped out the gate, standing in front of the boy, ready to catch it if thrown.
