Starry quietly nodded and followed Anthea excitedly. She loved a good hunt on a cold morning. She looked up at the sky, the sun rising. She knew that all the sleeping creatures were awakening in the forest, and the freezing night had turned to a chilly morning. Nothing gave her more joy than running in the wind--or for that matter making her own wind, and tasting fresh meat in her watering mouth.

Starry stopped walking when she saw Catori, and ran up to her. "Do you want to go hunting together?" she asked nicely, in a very excited manner.

Her head turned to Starry. Catori's tail raised a little in excitement. "Sure!" she said, trying to contain her emotions. No wolf had spoken to her in a long while.. "We should start around here." She said, pointing her muzzle to the meadow of snow.

Starry nodded and wagged her tail in return. She wondered what sort of prey they could proudly bring back to the pack. She hoped both her and Catori, with their strength combined, could bring down something that could feed the pack in a plentiful amount.

Catori.
"Alright," she began, carefully stepping her paws on the ground, not making a sound at all. "Lets hunt." she whispered. They walked silently through the Northern Forest until catching sight of a herd of elk. She stopped short, lowering her white fur to the snow-covered ground as camouflage. she twisted the tip of her tail, signaling to Starry to do the same. This would be hard.. A whole herd... But hse knew what to do. Her eyes flickered back and forth, scanning the herd for any injured or young elk. They where all so healthy.. But wait. Was that a young elk over there? Yes. IN the very back of the herd was a short, fat, young elk with a limp in his back leg... Catori smiled in delight.

Starry responded instantly to Catori's signal and slunk to the ground. She also noticed the limp elk, and looked at Catori for a signal to close in on the prey. She had always been under the command of someone else during a hunt, so she mainly was used to waiting for a command to do something rather than just attack on her own.

She slowly turned her head backward to look at Starry. She rolled her eyes to the elk,then twitched her tail, signaling for Starry to startle the herd, run them off. Then she looked in her eyes, and pointed her muzzle away from the pack. This meant she wanted to make sure Starry led the herd away from the pack. That was simple enough, because it would be a disaster if the herd came crashing through camp. She crawled on the ground, right behind the elk, and crouched into a jumping formation. She signaled Starry to do what she had explained.
