Alfred swallowed as Arthur brought the blade to his neck. He started to sweat just a little more, but still continued to dare the pastel colored Englishman. "If it makes things easier, so be it." he said with assertion, but he tugged at his ropes, clearly uncomfortable. That knife is getting hell of close.. he silently observed as Arthur put more pressure on it.

Arthur giggled, running the knife gently across the American's throat, not wanting to hurt him...yet. It was so funny to see him squirm around uncomfortably without any way of leaving. It was amusing. "Who says hating you is easier?" the Brit asked, forgetting that he was supposed to keep that thought in his head, and not out loud. Of course, he doubted Alfred would even take it in the way Arthur meant it. The tanned American could be so dense sometimes... Ignoring the thought, Arthur giggled softly again.

Alfred growled as England ran the knife along his neck. His mind raced and tried to think of some where to still have his triumph, even if he was tied down. "If hating me isn't easier, then what is? Love?" He said, staring straight into the blue and purple swirls in Arthur's eyes. He still tugged on the ropes to make a point, but the blood started to seep more on the ropes.

Arthur shrugged, not giving a straightforward yes or no. "You tell me, Alfred~ You're smart enough to know the answer~" The pale blond watched the ropes cut deeper into the American's wrists. Sighing lightly, the Brit held the knife in his teeth — sharp edge out — and pressed his hands against Alfred's wrists and hands. "Stop," he managed to mumble out. "You're going to hurt yourself more if you don't stop."

Alfred rolled his eyes. "Well, guessing that you didn't kill me yet, I bet it's love. Or maybe I'm just wrong and your still a f***ing psycho." he said and shrugged. He stiffened as Arthur held his wrists. He tried to wiggle out of his grip. "Don't f***ing touch me.." he growled. He would have thrown a few more curse words, or maybe would have moved more violently, but he didn't, for reasons he didn't even understand. He finaly let his muscles relax.

Arthur let go of the other's wrists, pulling the knife out of his teeth. He spit on the floor, wiping his mouth on his sleeve that wasn't stained with blood. The taste the knife had was the taste of stainless steel and blood. Basically, it was a very unpleasant taste. His lips spread into a wide, Chishire cat grin. "Wellll~ I'm psycho too~" The pale blond giggled to himself before crossing his arms lightly. "I was just trying to keep you from ripping up your wrists even more. They're not a very pleasant sight, you know..."

Alfred glared at Arthur. He smugly laughed. "Is that so?" he said, purposely digging his wrists into the ropes again. "Maybe I'll escape if I thin my wrists a little, don't you agree?" he said, smirking. He tried his best to get under the man's skin. "And why should you care anyways?"

Arthur sighed lightly, biting the tip of his knife. The soft clink of his teeth against the stainless steel filled the room. "They're going to get infected, Alfred," the pale blond said, his voice slightly softer than before. What did it matter anymore? The whole thing had proved worthless. Stepping back over to the bed, the Brit cut the ropes around Alfred's wrists and ankles. Sighing again, he sank down to the floor, hugging his knees to his chest as he sat with his back against the bed.

So he does like me.. He flinched a little when he called him Alfred. What the hell? He didn't sound angry.. just defeated. His mind raced, trying to tell himself that he won a small victory and that he should be happy, but he wasn't. He felt sad for some reason, and hated it. Could I like him too? He was surprised when the ropes were cut of, but was even more surprised when he didn't jump and attack England. He slowly got up and reached for his bat, not daring to look at England in the face. "Your damn lucky..."

Arthur nodded slightly, the knife dropping from his hand and onto the floor. "I guess so..." He buried his face lightly in his arms, staring down at his legs. A second or two later, though, the British man's oddly colored eyes peeked out from behind the pastel-colored, sleeve-covered arms as he watched Alfred pick up his bat. Clamping his eyes shut tightly, he waited for the feeling of getting his skull smashed by the tetanus-filled bat.
