Isn't there any store pets on the list?

Orange & red cerbers, drink & eat mes, androids, punk dogs, raven, patchwork, marionettes, liontails, brown sleipnir are all store pets.

Age also has a lot to do with it as well, but not all old pets are rare enough to make it to the list. And those that are rare enough but don't have enough demand(such as many of the '08 Rats) aren't on the list. Typically it's mostly older Very Rares but some pets qualify from recent years because they became Very Rare quickly/almost immediately and had tons of demand to boot, like how the UR Tiger dog or any other UR's that came out basically made it immediately to the List because they came out OMGSoRare from the get-go.

And just because people will pay Rare's list for a pet in crazy demand like the Butterdog or the Shima Longtail doesn't mean those pets are List worthy, it just means people are desperate or unreasonable xD

@ Rubysong, the UR grapes have already been placed. The UR cucumber and UR lion are still being assessed - being new URs, we have to be careful where we place them.

yes... and are here some idea about new UR's? ^^
the UR cucumber I see trades the most about non tag rarity...

Not all the time. It also depends on popularity, hence the UR apple being where it is.

Not necessarily. The older UR's are rarer because they've been around longer, and there are less of them in circulation than newer UR's since there are some sitting in unactive accounts and what not. They also have more of a chance to have been deleted as older users quit, decreasing their numbers.

Guys, do keep in mind I am planning eventually to break down the rares list. I just haven't had time. This will involve noting the gaps between pets. For those who are trade savvy, I will be asking your opinions. I have my own opinions regarding some pets and I'll definitely be dragging Deja in to help, and probably try to rope in DiabolicReality and see how much both of them can help.

Gaps and demand are not really applicable to everything here, and would better be suited to the worth threads. Do remember if you have a specific question and want an answer I am more than happy to help via PM, as to not spam the thread. Do keep in mind that I can be slow to reply to PMs, especially right now since I'm at a work retreat. I love helping people out and I'm willing to offer that kind of venue, but you also need to be patient with me.

Also, now I am interested to see some trades regarding the UR Cucumber & Lion. Please just post the trades here that are just trades, or have won auctions. I'll be checking them out in the next few days too. I'm going to be a bugger and ask if discussion can be kept to a minimum about said trades until I have the time to look at them, just so I don't have to peruse through pages and pages of back and forth discussion about the lions/cucumbers. Once I've been able to go through I am more than happy to bring in some discussion and get your opinions on where they should sit.

As of right now both will probably be above the "big gap". For a bit of perspective, most pets above the big gap are worth 2x or 3x more than those below [save the BEG/Spotted tribal which may only be about 1.5x to get to a non]. As I said before I really want to break the whole thing down as I think it would be highly beneficial for everyone, but do remember this list is based on communal opinions, not facts. This being said it is GENERALLY the common opinion, and if you feel uncomfortable with where something is placed on the list, but don't want to talk about it on the thread, do PM me! I love to chat about rarities, and that sort of stuff

Also expect me to be "reorganizing" the front page. I would LOVE some tips on what to do and how to do that, so if you have any suggestions I would be more than happy to take them; but please PM them to me so I don't skim over them accidentally.
