Althaea Evolka Pyrontus
She hid in a cafe, her eyes thick with sleep as she struggled for her conscious mind. She had been out all night, and she didn't keep track of the time. Using her wings to hide herself from the sun, Althaea sighed as she huddled over her water. Being what she was became more and more of a problem by the day. She couldn't go to a fast food place for the fear of blowing it up, and just walking out in broad daylight was getting to be a problem. With silvery blue eyes staring blankly up at the ceiling, Althaea wondered what it was that she could do to get her back to her home. She had her pills on her, but she was still skeptical to whether they worked or not. Sucking in a breath and blowing out a steady stream of air, she tested the effectiveness of her pills. Just seconds after she exhaled did flames shoot towards the ceiling, her eyes turning a bright orange and her vision going from blurred to vivid. When the flames stopped, she sighed again, looking down at her drink before the colour she saw faded back into the blurry shadows that she usually saw. She took another sip of her drink and sighed softly to herself before searching her pocket for her pills.
She pulled out a little orange canister from her pocket and popped a few pellets onto her tongue. A quick swallow and the annoying part was over. At the least, she wouldn't have to worry about blowing someone up by accident… Now there was the problem of trying to get home. She twirled her long brown hair between her slender fingers, wondering if her speckled wings would be enough to keep her from spontaneously combusting into a little ball of flames out on the sidewalk until she could hop onto the trolley and take her home. Of course, if the carbon in her body could spread out a little more, it shouldn't be harmful enough to make anything burn.

Skye
Forced to wear a dark cloak in the middle of the day, Skye looked at his reflection in the Mirror Lake, eyes fixated on the glimmering water. It was quite, the fresh water and spring flowers smelling sweet. He had his guitar still in its case at his side. Living in a library had its perks. The basement gave him the room to make things without disturbing anyone, and all those books gave him a better understanding for everything in the world outside of their own. Normal people seemed so interesting. They couldn't fly, or jump, or run the way that the citizens of the ECO Tech's city did. It was simply amazing, the way that they could create things with their hands. He wanted to be able to do that himself, to create things all on his own with his own two hands. As easy as this life was, it was… It wasn't anything that he could imagine. Being cared for like a pet wasn't what he had in mind, but these people… Everyone in this town was like family. They were all created the same way, and he couldn't question their way of life. They weren't natural. It made him wonder what their place was. Dragging his hand over his guitar case, he laid himself on his back by the water, the near cloudless sky calming his nerves.
