I have to agree with Able. It is somewhat offensive. I normally descibe myself as a nerd, jock, and I'm lazy, but those descriptions are extreme stereotypes and if I cared enough, I'd have been offended at reading them. Even if it wasn't meant to be offensive... I highly doubt there are many people that actually fit what was described in those categories.

Geek- The Person Who Knows Everything About EVERYTHING Also May Play World Of Warcraft Ofen. They Say Wierd Thing Much To Ofen As Exaple : Nom, Glomp, Noob, And Other Words Used On The Internet.

Nerd- The Nerd The Loser Of The Class. They Are Picked On Constantly And The'll Never Tell.But They Are The Teachers Pet.They Like Reading And Being Proper.

Jock- Usaully The Boys Are Labeled The "JOCK" ButSome Girls Are Jocks To. They Always Have The Need To Run When Not Nessasary, They Like To Play Sports In The Winter When Everyone Els Is Too Cold. And They Can Never Ever Loose.

Lazy Ass- There Mostly Guys. They Dont Do There Homwork Cause They Dont Feel Like It. They Rather Sit In Detention ALL Day Then Do His Math. When They Come Home. They Play Video Games And Eat Chips And Candy. [color=#40BFFF]Never Does Gym.

Stereotypes are one of the few things that actually bother me,That and monotheism because they're almost always offensive and just create a lack of respect for anyone carrying a label. Labeling is something that people do because it makes them feel superior-- it distinguishes "us" from "them"; all wars start because of that mentality.

Lack of respect on anyone's part is something that bothers me a lot, so it's only natural that topics like this bother me so much. I would just be ignoring this, except it was originally posted in the 18+ section for reasons I can't even begin to fathom.

Exactly what I would like to have said, but I'm not intelligent enough to word as greatly.

I mean, I know the person who created this topic is 12 years old, and I see a lot of similar behavior in kids that age. (With the unbearable text talk, immaturity, etc.) ...But I'm 12 years old, and I don't run around stereotyping... Unless I'm talking about n00bs. I would say that there is a "n00b" group here at CS.

Personally I find labels to be meaningless and stupid. I am none of these, a mixture of some. Yes, I do cry a lot, but no I'm not "emo". I'm random and usually dont speak unless directly spoken to or with friends. My life quote that pretty much sums up who I am is "People that don't know me think I'm quiet, people that do know me wish I was."
