Jake's heart lifted slightly when Demi said that she was one of the strategist in her former group. He could use her and by the looks of her she could use him as well, her thin and lanky frame looked like it couldn't with stand a single blow without shattering. Jake smiled and nodded his head at Demi, he took notice then that she smiled alot and he couldn't help but wonder if her cheeks hurt from all the smiling that she was doing. He shrugged the thought off though as he tried to think of ways to ask her if she would mind to partner up with him, You are too trusting towards her. The voice in his head said sounding a little bitter, why, he wasn't sure but he didn't really care either. Just ask her straight up, I'm sure she doesn't like to suger coat things. The voice in his head spat, Jake found it amusing that a part of him was made at himself.
Jake lifted an eye brow as he focused on Demi again, though he made the mistake of looking at her unnatural green eyes again. He was lost. Lost in a sea of pastel green that more lovely then anything he experianced his whole life, but the more he stared the more the feeling of darkness pulled on him. The darkness didn't feel evil to him, well not really, it called to him teasing him with its strangth and power, things that he desired.
Jake ripped his gaze away from Demi's feeling slightly angry that he aloud himself to drift like that, he cursed silently under his breath as he tried to clear his head. Once his mind was clear he looked up at Demi again, only this time he hardened himself slightly to her gaze. "So a stategist, huh? I was the muscle in my group, um... Fighter would be a better word I guess, but anyway that was what I was." He said with a slight smirk on his face, he was a good fighter and knew how to survive on little but when it came to more delicate battle planning he needed a strategist. "So seeing that you don't have a fighter and I'm lacking a strategist, would you like to team up?" He asked as he lifted his gun to his shoulder giving him a strong 'no one can harm me' kind of look.
Female, 21, Single, Angel
With: Faust.
Brea found it oddly amusing to see and angel pout like a human youngling about the vessel they had, though she had to agree with Faust as it was tiring trying to maintain the vessel. She always wondered how the humans could do it or even the halflings since the constant maintinance required more work then anything she had ever studied before. Brea noticed then that Faust hand's had strange cuts on his hands which worried her slightly, since if it required care she wouldn't be able to heal it, well not with power but if she followed the human well of healing it then it would get better but only at an annoyingly slow pace.
When Faust looked over his shoulder at her, she took note of the look he gave her. He's looking for guidance from me?! The thought was slightly shocking and heart warming, she could tell that he didn't do this often and that his pride was getting in the way but the fact that he was actually looking towards her for help was...... exciting? She wasn't sure of a proper human word to describe it.
Brea's gaze was torn away from Faust when she felt a sudden gust of wind begin to wrap itself around her, it felt warm and angry and sharp little stings cut across her body which she found annoying as they made her itch. She looked at the halfling and raised an eye brow, So that is her power, not bad but it can easily lose control. She thought as the girl apologized, though when she spoke again she sounded annoyed and frustrated both of which were not needed as it would only cause unneeded tention. "Easy halfling, unlike you who was born with a human form and know naturally how to maintain it, we are slow to see what this vessel needs. Harsh and angry words will not help us make up our minds faster." Brea said calmly, her words carried no frustation or be-littling behind them. She just didn't want things to fly out of hand.
She turned back to Faust when he asked if they should go with them, she looked at the demon then at Faust again. "His intent is clear, if we do not harm him or the halfling then he will not harm us." She said seeing that the demon did not care to fight, just then her stomach rumbled which made her cheeks flush slightly. "I don't know where else to get food, so following them is our best option." She said as she looked at Faust and placed a hand on her stomach as if that would stop the funny noises it was making.

Faust's brow furrowed as he tried to force his mind to follow, to remember that humans needed to eat, even if he only wore the skin of one. "Yes... because food is required. For humans." he said slowly, adding the part about humans at the end, just to let everyone know that he would most certainly not be doing this if he were not in a human body. His gaze flickered to the halfing angel, carefully avoid looking at the demon lest he get angry angry, and gave a very tight-lipped, curt nod. "Show us," Faust said, or, rather, commanded, to the half-angel. It wasn't as if he really meant to -- commanding was just kind of a knee-jerk reaction for him.
[[ For sure. I always think it's a little unfair for Faust though because the only people he acts like that around is demons and the only time that's work is if we were in some kind of Animal Farm scenario. xD ]]

❈Crystal Jade Starr❈
I want to live my life,
not just survive.
Exhausted. That’s what Jade was at the moment, she was tired of life as it was, she’d survived her entire life but she didn’t know if this was even a good thing. Would death be better than this? Or was this it? Did she want to find out what was there? These questions swirled in her mind as she walked down the quiet street and headed towards god-knows where. She could barely hear anything over the noise of her own thoughts, today she decided was not a good day. In fact when was the last time she’d had a good day; not in a long time she knew that much. Sighing in frustration she banished these thoughts to the back of her mind where they lingered. Stopping Jade looked over her shoulder her braid swaying from the motion, no one there, looking ahead she couldn’t see anyone. Like usual she was alone, but considering the demons and angels that were now disguised as humans it was a good thing to be alone.
Demons, Angels, to her there was no real difference. Neither side cared if she lived and most of the time she thought both wanted her and others like her dead. Why were they here? Were they just created for the purpose of fighting each other? To Jade this seemed like the most sensible answer; Angels were the protectors -supposedly- and the demons were destroyers of some kind. If this was how it was you’d think that angels would help the humans but no, it seemed that they only cared about the earth as an object; a trophy of some sort. As these new thought swirled about her mind Jade continued on her way.

Kiro, demon
Literally dying
Kiro really wished that Lilith would get the hell out of Naomi's mind, as it was making everyything harder for his already exhausted mind. He liked that girl, sure, but he was all too relieved when she was dragged away by Ragne. He offered no response to her wish, far to weak to mentally connect to another person's mind, but his vessal might have smiled faintly. Or not, given it was sweating and shaking, looking ready to scream. The strain was feeling ready to rip him apart, a less then pleasent feeling.
Good...you're welcome. Kiro answere, his little telepathic voice growing faint. Hearing tell him he didn't have to staywas a relief beyond words, and he intended to return to his own mind even if it irritated Ragne. Wincing as thevoices flared up, Kiro pushed out of Naomi'smind with the parting words of:
You two... shut it. Or when I'm healed I'll... come back and crush you. Or just leave... you to bored. So let Naomi... have some peace...
And with that, Kiro gave Ragne a simple message of:I've done...all I...canfor now, You sooo owe me.
Returning to his body was quite the shck, reminding him just how bad shape he was in. He failed to hold back a small yelp, before curling up in the dirt and retching onto the ground. Human vessals, so disgusting, Kiro thought pathetically.

~ Ragne'Uruvien (Damien) Hooley ~
Ragne watched the young angel walk away and shook his head with a small sigh. He knew that she woul dhave been good to have around but dealing with that arrogance was not worth it in the slightest bit. Suddenly he received a mental message from Kiro and once he looked back there was wretch all over the ground and Kiro was almost laying in it. "Yuck..." Ragne said allowed as he walked over to Kiro and picked up his human vessel with no problem at all feeling the demon moan in his arms. He took him over to a small spot in the clearing where there was some soft under brush. Ragne sat Kiro down and leaned him against his leg and built of a sort of moss pillow which he grabbed and took over towards the fire, because whether they wanted to admit it or not the night was coming quickly upon them, which meant Ragne needed to hunt, and fast. He slowly swung Kiro's legs around and lied him down resting his head softly on the moss. This was the most fatherly he had ever acted in his life and he wondered why he took such a liking to this young demon. I'll be back soon He sent over mentally then walked over to Naomi, Picked up her small frame, hoping she wouldn't object and set her softly on the other side of the fire. With this he left swiftly for the wood to find food, turning invisible as he walked out of camp.

❝i believe

"And if that were the only issue, I would be alright with it. If your charming companion was simply slow in understanding human needs, it would be understandable, and forgivable. However, in addition to that, he is also slow at acting upon his realizations, which is rather frustrating to watch," Kay pointed out, her tone as level and serene as the female angel's. A bright, musical laugh escaped her lips as she heard the girl's stomach growl. The laugh was half-genuine, and half for the purpose of relieving tension. "That just means you're hungry, mademoiselle."
The French slipped out accidentally, a testament to the multiple summers she had spent with her British cousins, exploring France and all that it had to offer. The language was soothing, and she really needed something to calm her down. Not only was Faust irritating, but so was the fact that she was letting him get under her skin. With a flick of her hand, she was rising off the ground and headed towards a ruined brown patch whether a road once might've been.
"Follow us," she mimicked Faust's tone with disdain. While she understood that he was still angry at the presence of Addan, and angry that he needed help, and probably also angry at the world for rudely placing him in the body of a human, it was still no way to treat another person.
A soft, genuine smile appeared on her face as she watched eagle-Addan turn loop-de-loops in the sky, the sun lighting up his golden feathers so that they looked as if they were on fire. "Show off!" she called out, although her sparkling eyes contradicted her frosty tone of voice. For a moment, she forgot about the haughty angels, and it was like they were simply having fun together.
Then, she remembered something and turned to the angels. "By the way, I don't quite know your names, do I?" A partial lie, but oh well.

"don't wait around

Listening to Faust's lofty tones had made Adam's skin crawl with disgust as well, but it wasn't worth his time to comment, in his opinion. He'd only end up becoming angry, and then they'd be at each other's throats, quite literally.
Instead, he chose to fly on ahead, soaring dangerously high before diving down with gravity-defying spirals. It was like that story of Daedalus, and his nephew, Icarus, who flew too close to the sun. Only in his case, he was in perfect control of his actions. He caught Kay's gaze and smirked; while he could care less about anyone else's feelings, he was quite attuned to hers, and he could tell she would need some calming down. Knowing how much she enjoyed his acrobatics, and the fact that he had full control of his wings while in this form, he continued his loops and arcs across the sky.
He heard her half-hearted reprimand and ruffled his feathers confidently, doubling back to rest on the arm she extended for him as a perch. Mindful of the fact that his claws were quite capable of tearing through her skin with ease, he kept only a loose grip, trusting her wind to keep him upright. His head swiveled towards the angels as he studied the two curiously with star-bright amber-green eyes. Did he ever encounter them when angels and demons were their normal selves? It was likely; Lucifer enjoyed sending a more powerful demon, typically a general like him, to oversee the younger demons whenever they launched attacks on the angels. He shuffled his wings, noticing with a faint amount of pleasure and amusement at the cuts across Faust's hands, that didn't show signs of stopping. Probably inflicted by Lilith or Kino or Ragne in their previous fight, although it was also likely that they had been made worse by Kay's subdued but still vicious winds.
Not that he was going to tell her that. Her guilty conscience would probably force her to apologize, and find him band-aids, and nothing would bother him more than to watch her apologize to an angel who was already so arrogant. He flexed his claws; he supposed that the powerful distaste between demons and angels was mutual, and almost ingrained into their minds. How strange. He didn't like the fact that someone could influence his mind.
