Aliea looked at the lioness with hard eyes, he'd been restless all night. He sighed, and let his eyes flicker along the female. He make a laughing like noise in the back of his throat, and unlocked his jaw. "Well, I was quite alright before you got here, but it's fine. The mornings been quiet." Aliea stood, circling Areyette. The ends of his mouth curled up, he shrugged his shoulders. "Areyette, do you know why I picked this den...on the hill..?" he asked quietly, and he sat at the mouth of the cave, looking down. Finally, there was life in the grass, a group fo lions patrolling in the distance. And a few scattered across the plain. He nodded with a just noise of approval. "Well do you? Speak up!" he snapped, suddenly bipolarized into some angry monster. He glared at Areyette through narrowed eyes.

Areyetta was supised at his sudden rage. She backed up as he yelled and she tripped over herself, sitting. Everytime she spek, she cringed. "I'm very sorry I ruined your morning." She replied quickly. As he circled her, she watched him causiously. She opened her mouth to answer his question, but seemed choked almost. The white lioness didn't know what to answer. Her almost white or clear-looking eyes looked at him. "Is it to have peace and quiet, sir?" She asked softly and and looked at her paws, ashamed.

Aliea chuckled, the frighting image of Areyette satisfying. "No, you didn't ruin it, more disrupted it...even so, the answer is no." The leader said less creuly. "Keep your head up when speaking to me, I want to see your face." Aliea's mouth formed more words, but his throat stopped him. He was a really mean guy wasn't he? He sighed, looking carefully out the cave. "I chose it so I could be closer to the Gods...Cudi. And so my pride could be blessed. No other leader has a den on a hill, like me." He stopped, and waited for a reaction.

The lioness looked up at him as he chuckled, cocking her head. What? Why's he laughing? She asked herself and arose an eyebrow at him. Areyette looked down again, before hearing his words. Slowly, she lifted her head, not sure of why he'd want to see her face. She arose as he looked out of the cave and turned, so that she was looking the way he was, but not taking any steps closer. That's a nice reason. It's doog you'd want to be closer and for your prise to be blessed. It's... thoughtful." She wasn't sure if she should have called him thoughtful or not, or if she would regret it. But, she still looked at him, building up confidence, and not cringing.

A sudden noise in the otherwise quiet morning woke Soare from her sleep. She jumped and looked around cautiously. Probably just a bird. She told herself and calmed down a bit. Sighing, she glanced lovingly at her sleeping cub beside her. Her stomach grumbled. Better go get some food. She decided it would be safe to leave Nala by herself for a little while, just enough time to do some hunting. Just to be safe though, she covered the den entrance with twigs and grass, then set off.

Nala yawned and opened her eyes. Her mother was not in the den with her! At first the panicked, not knowing what could have happened. After a minute she calmed down. Mommy must have gone to get food. She thought. Good thing too, Nala was starving! Waiting was boring though and Nala couldn't sit still. I'll go explore and I'll get back before momma so she'll never know! Nala grinned. Soare never let her do anything fun, and this was her chance!

First Nala cleared away the grass and sticks her mom put up to protect the den and she popped her head out, looking around to make sure her mother (or anything else) was not present. Then she grinned and climbed out, read to explore! She batted at a bug on the ground and chased after it when it ran away. This is fun! She thought. It wasn't often that she got time by herself to play and be a cub. Nala sighed. "Why is mommy so worried all the time? She don't let me do nothing!" She asked the bug, not expecting an answer. Finally she let to poor bug go and looking around for something else to play with.

Soare moved slowly and quietly as she closed in on her prey. A lone warthog stood grazing. Soare licked her lips, and thanked the lion god for a prey she could actually catch by herself, and so close to her den. Still, she would have to be careful. If the pride that lived here caught here they might kill her and she had a cub to care for. She crept towards her target on silent feet. Once close enough Soare ran really fast to keep up with the warthog. When she did catch up to it she knocked it to the ground and dug her claws into its belly. Finally she moved in to kill it and snapped it's neck in her jaws. Just as she was about to drag her catch back to the den she heard something in the grass and froze.
