Ronni scampered around the windowsill of a human house. It was dangerous, and his family constantly told him not to do it, but all the best food was in the human houses. In the corner of the room, he spied a cage with a mouse in it! Panicked, he scurried over to the cage. Why was she in a cage? The mouse didn't seem unhappy or trapped. "Hello?" he squeaked to her

Spotty looked up from her carrot. "What?!?" she shrilled. "Go away. I'm eating." She went back to her food. Her cage was nice and warm, she didn't need any plain country mouse intruding on her carrots. She hated country mice. They were dirty and skinny. No, what she needed was a real mouse. A strong mouse. A mouse with an attude, not a meek little hungry thing.

"What are you doing in there? Did you get caught?" Ronni asked, confused. He had never seen a mouse comfortable in a house. It just wasn't natural

"Hah, yeah right. Go. Away." Spotty said, impatient. If he was here any longer, her human would find him. That was the last thing she needed, to see another mouse killed right in front of her, country or otherwise. Last time it happend her human's older human came in and stepped right on this little field mouse. 'Whatever, she deserved it, trespassing like that,' Spotty thought. It took her almost 2 whole days to get over it.

Ronni took a step back, extremely confused. He heard something in the halls though, which he assumed was a human. He was tempted to scurry out before he could get caught, but he couldn't leave another mouse behind. Call it chivalry, call it stupidity, but he wasn't going to leave until he had helped her escape, though he had a suspicion that even if he managed to open the cage, she wouldn't come

Spotty heard the human in the hallway. Oh god, this was going to be another episode of mouse execution. 'Whatever,' she thought, 'The stupid uneducated bumpkin deserved it.'

"Unless you want to be squished I advise you run," she skeaked in a monotone. She really didn't care what happend to him now that she thought about it.
