Kaala looked at the light girl and resisted the temptation to attack. Instead she walked up to Matthews side and sat.

Matthew kneeled down to pet Kaala. He rubbed her back and when he was with his ear close to hers he whispered: "Don't let her notice we're dark." He petted her playful before standing up. "Good girl." he said.
