Weedclaw sighed as he looked at the apprentices. Then he thought for a moment. "Maybe some moss and some water will help," he said softly.

Flamefur nodded. "Liontail, could you go get some?"

Liontail nodded and ran off into the forest. He returned with the moss. "There you go," he said, giving it to Weedclaw.

"Good idea." she purred as her mentor squezzed the moss on her foot. "almost.. got..it" she said, pulling her foot out. when she got it out, she was shot forward and barreled into Weedclaw, her mentor. and Liontail." oops, sorry guys!" she said, springing up and giving herself an ambarassed lick. She sniffed he air, "Vole!" she shouted, runnong off onto the buses to return a moment later with th prey clamped in her jaws.

Weedclaw sighed with relief. "I don't know what I would of done, if that didn't work." he whispered.

Flamefur nodded. "At least they aren't hurt," she meowed.

Liontail nodded.

Flamefur looked at her apprentice. "Good job," she meowed.

Skinnypaw

Skinnypaw ducked her head embarassedly and dropped the kill in front of Weedclaw. "Do you want it since you had the idea to get me out?" she asked, not meeting his gaze. "Mice!" she yelled and shot off into the bushes. Again,she came back with two and layed them in front of her mentor and Liontail. "Here, you two deserve some too." she added quickly, eventhough Weedclaw's was the biggest and Juiciest. She gave her chest an embaressed lick.

"Thank you Skinnypaw," Weedclaw meowed.

Flamefur smiled at her apprentice. "you did great at hunting today," she meowed,

Lionclaw nodded.

Skinnypaw nodded to all of the warriors, embarrassed by their praise. She swung around and looked at fatpaw. "What are we going to do with that?" she asked, pointing with her tail.

Fatpaw began to flop around like beached whale. "but, but, i worked soo hard today, and i thought i deserved a treat." he said, licking his lips. "I think it's time for another." he said, hauling himself up, just to flop back down again. "Will you catch me somethin sis?" he asked, flashing her a glance.

Skinnypaw

Skinnypaw bristled. "No way fatlard!" she spat. "If you want to catch something, just get up. In fact..." she spun around. "MR JUDD!!!!" she called into the trees. he arrived a moment later and chased Fatpaw around a track with a shovel and stopwatch. "Not fast enough!" he hollered and smacked the fat cat with the shovel.
