Kalia turned away, embarassed by the tears forming in her eyes. "Don't. Nobody will care if I do, anyway." She said, wishing she had been born with a kinder personality.

Eclipse shook her head, "That's not true..." Her ears folded back as she didn't know quite how to comfort Kalia. She cursed as the wind suddenly got more ferocious.

Sam growled, stalking the few steps to the two fae. "I would." The dark brute took a position between Kalia and the outside world, expression cold as he glanced to Nakalla, then Eclipse. "We all would." He lowered his muzzle and began to gently push her towards the back of the den where it was warmest. "You've never given up before," he grumbled, "Now's not the time to start."

Kalia scowled. "I'm not giving up. I mean it. I can feel... feel my life slipping away." She said, frowning into the cold, snowy distance.

She wondered how you could feel your life slip away. She sighed and stood up slowly trudging through the snow towards her den. She turned to the others and said, "Why don't we all get some sleep. It'll prepare us for the harsh journey we'll be facing soon." She curled up into a ball as the wind whipped against her fur.

Kalia sighed, not expecting them to understand how she felt she was slowly dying. She ignored the pains that shot up her spine in the cold when she walked, and laid down in the den. She knew she wouldn't get much sleep, but she closed her eyes emotionlessly.

He growled and sat at the mouth of the den, cold eyes glaring out into the snow. The wind whipped around him, slicing through his fur, but after a while it seemed to die down. But that only seemed to make the cold feel solid, like it was choking him. Sam shook himself, then trotted purposefully into the den. When he thought the others would be asleep, he swept his gaze once more across the snow, and lay down at Kalia's back, his dark fur just barely brushing against hers. His eyes closed, but he was angry again, thinking about the future and the past all at once.

Kalia opened her eyes, suprised to feel Sammael resting beside her. She wanted to get up, but drowsiness made her bones feel heavy for now, so she sat up a little to get used to being awake.

As the next day came, the sun tried to shine through the gloomy weather. Eclipse gave a yawn and slowly stood up. She looked over at the others making sure they didn't leave. She stretched and wondered when they would eat. Her stomach was growling but she was used to that.

Nakalla woke up, not well rested at all. She popped one tendon after the other, and arched her back in a long stretch. She crept over to Kalia, not caring if she was asleep or not, and drowsily put more herbs on her wound. She went to Concierto, too, and then took a bite of bear. "Wake me if we leave." she muttered to no one in particular, as she went back to sleep.
