ECO Tech || Sci-Fi Mutant RP || Open and Accepting

[Rainy Days]

It's year 5729, and ECO Tech Industries is the largest business in the world. Small things, and big, in your everyday life has been made from ECO Tech, from a candy bar to your home and car. ECO Tech is also in charge of the new technology, all of it eco friendly to keep Earth pollution free. Hovering cars, airplanes that run on sunlight, telepads for quick and easy transportation, even Artificial Lifeforms, such as robots and holograms. An everyday cellphone gives you access all over the world, along with a built in holographic screen for computer use, a translator, and even your own personal hologram, always there in case you need info.

But theres something ECO Tech is doing, something no one knows about. In a top secret facility on an island in the middle of the Pacific ocean, ECO Tech is creating clones from DNA extracted from volunteers. As the DNA developed into an embryo, they would infuse it with an animals DNA, and some with pure energy. Many of the experiments have failed, but after extensive research and hundreds of tests, they finally figured out how to keep the experiments alive.

Basically, your an experiment. Someone infused with an animals DNA, or with energy, or maybe even something else. But whatever you are, your an experiment. All your life, you've been treated like something to be tested on, not someone with feelings. And it didn't bother you. Its all you've ever known. Even as you were developing, before you were 'born', you were tested on. It's just apart of your life. One thing, at least; you had a cozy room.
Then, one day, they announce that your aloud into the city they built on the island. You can go live there, with thousands of other mutants, or you could continue in the labs until you wish to leave. Eager to finally meet others, you agree. And now, here you are.

[Rainy Days]

Animal Mutant

- Can be any ground animal, such as cats, dogs, mice, even porcupine and armadillo

- Heightened senses ~ hearing, sight, smell
- Animallike defenses ~ Claws, sharp teeth (sometimes multiple rows, depends how your mutation turned now)

Bird/Bat Mutant

- Can be any winged animal, flightless or no

Abilities

- Heightened senses ~ hearing, sight, smell
- Birdlike defenses ~ Talons, maybe even a beak (with a beak, you wouldn't be able to talk)
- If bat mutant, batlike defenses like talons and sharp teeth

Fishlike Mutant

- Can be any fish/shark species

Abilities

- Able to swim easily under water
- Can breath under water (and in air, because of human DNA)
- Extra rows of teeth

Energy Mutant

- Energy mutants normally look human, but can also be mixed in with animal/bird/fish DNA.

Abilities

- Heightened senses - Hearing, sight, smell
- Super smart ~ Able to understand many things easily, work your mind around things, think things through super fast, etc.
- Telepathy or telekinesis ~ Those with both are very super rare. The ones with animal/fish/bird mutations, and bot telepathy and telekinesis are all but nonexistent; only allowing four (I would do five, but ones reserved for me... X3, yeah, I know)

Other

- I'll take almost anything unless its mythical. It can be based of myths, though.

- Semi-Literate

We all know what this means. 3 to 5 sentences. I like paragraphs, so at least one paragraph per character, please. It also means GOOD GRAMMER AND PUNCTUATION! If you post something like 'he pered dwn "so what" his ear twitched', I'll strike you or warn your or something. I consider stuff like that as spam, as there is no punctuation, no capitals, and it's not even a full sentence!

- Tess's Rules

This is self explanatory. But for those who don't know, here's the basics: No god modding, power playing, Gary/Mary Sues, perfect charries, etc. I especially don't want perfect charries, or ultra powerful ones. We all have out flaws and weaknesses.

- Keep violence to a minimal!

Okay, I won't be as strict with this rule. Just don't get into it. Saying theres blood all over you isn't bad, and I'm perfectly fine with it. But... I don't think theres gonna be blood, as the mutants live under strict rules. I doubt their gonna be killing each other.

- Your charries are used to everything!

Okay, so, this rule is important. Every chari has lived their entire life being tested on. It's all they've ever known. So... their used to it. Strict rules; used to it. Tested on every once in a while; used to it. I will allow the occasional rebellious chari, but otherwise, everyone is fine and content with their life. Remember: They have been raised this way! IT'S ALL THEY KNOW! Their entire life, centered on this! It's the norm.

- Don't go far without me!

Never go more then 3 pages ahead of me. If you do, I'll strike you. BUT! If you don't mean it, and go on the fourth page with only one post, I won't get mad. I'll just be like "I'm warning you that your really getting a warning if you do it again." Or something like that...

- I reserve the right to boot you off and decline/accept your form!

If you get three strikes/warnings for not following the rules, I can boot you off. If you complain, I WILL report you for spam and add you to my foe list. But heres a secret: I can't hold grudges. So if you wait a few days, I pro'ly will give you another chance.
And for declining your chari... if I think you aren't fit for this RP, I will definitely decline. So make sure your... Semi-Lit enough. Or something. X3

- No sexual scenes

Big nono! You can be all kissy kissy, but I don't want any farther then that. Use -fades to black- or something. If you really wanna do it, take it to the PMs. I mean, really! So... yeah.

- Try to keep genders even

If you see that theres a thousand girls, and only, like, two boys, MAKE A BOY! You can make a girl along with that boy, of course. But I want genders to remain at least slightly even.

- I don't care what pic you use.

I just don't care! I might never use anything but anime, but thats only because I'm not comfortable using real pics. You can use them, though, I really don't care. Anime/real/stencil/realistic art/made-out-of-toenails. It can be anything.

- Pretty posts

I like pretty posts. You are not required to do them or anything, I just like pretty posts. I love the way they look. So you can do them, no rule against it. I know I will!

[Rainy Days]

Mirror Lake

Mirror Lake is a beautiful lake. It's on the East side of the island, surrounded by a hundred acre wood. The water is close to the ocean, but far enough not to be contaminated by saltwater - Therefor, it's absolutely safe to drink right from the source. It's a great place to go and relax, away from all the city sounds.

The City

The City: A city that takes up most of the island. This is where every mutant lives. You can choose any vacant area to live, from an apartment building to a huge house.
The City is full of plantlife. There are little to no roads, just a bunch of sidewalks. There is, of course, public transportation much like our trolley system. Rails for the trolley lead everywhere throughout the city, and they never stop moving. They are always moving on the rails, even at night, and the only way to get on and off them is jumping. Of course, with your extra abilities and mutations, it isn't hard.
There's also shops where you can get clothing, food, and furniture whenever you need it. And, thankfully, ECO Tech provides it all for free. Those who work in the shops are usually mutant volunteers.

School

The School is just what it's called; a school. This is where the mutants who want an education can go. You are not made to go, of course, as you are aloud to do just about anything you want on the island.
The School also work as a hospital, and a place you go to for the occasional test.

City Center

City Center is a huge place, full of bustling mutants and even the occasional scientist. This place is also riddled with sidewalks, like everywhere else, but more then half of it is greenery. Tree's dot the entire area, along with thick, healthy grass.
City Center is one of the main area's for boarding and getting off the rail system, so a rail surrounds it in a large half circle at the fringes of the area, allowing quick and easy access to get where you want.

Two miles around the city, a barrier made of certain technical devises on the ocean floor prevent mutants from escaping. The barrier is much like a dogs shock collar - if you try to get past, you'll get seriously shock and, if you're a bird mutant trying to fly out, you'll most likely drop into the water. Every mutant has been chipped at 'birth', so unless your willing to chop off your arm, theres no way through. That is, if the barrier remains on.

My mutation is a cat mutation and my abilities are being able to purr, hiss, meow, and all the other things cats do. Plus, all catlike traits such as speed, stealth, grace, the ability to climb, etc. When she speaks, her voice is a little rough, and it sounds like a cats meow. You can understand it easily, though.
I have claws, and a long, bushy tail, and, of course, cat ears. I'm also covered in fur, from tip to tail. I can speak to cats as well.

My hair colour is ginger and yellow, and it covers my entire body, from tip to tail.

I Am Who I Am
Persona: The first word that comes to mind to describe Chiyo is shy. She gets really very nervous around people she doesn't know, and her ears always go flat and her tail between her legs. She finds it hard to even look up from the ground when she's in very large crowds. She doesn't like being the center of attention, and does her best to remain in the background.
Another word for her is sweet. She's actually a real nice girl under the thick layer of shyness, and if you can break the ice, you can meet that nice part of her. A lot of the time, Chiyo acts younger then she is. She's helpful and kind, and she would never tell you a lie unless it was something like... how your food tastes. She can keep any type of secret if you wanted her to, but if its a danger to you, she might tell someone. Mind you, its only to help, not to harm.
The third and last word for her is, surprisingly, independent. She knows how to take care of herself, and she doesn't like it when people treat her like she can't help herself. When people do that, she gets a little mad, and the shyness slips away.
History: All her life, Chiyo has been treated like a minor goddess, someone no one should care about, but she never really minded. As long as no one messed with her small part of the world she ruled, she was happy.

Persona: Rain isnt the most talkative guy. He silently analyzes most situations, thinking carefully before he acts. This comes from his Owl habits, wanting to stay silent and swoop down on his enemy. After he warms up to you, he does open up and talk more, revealing a playful and clumsy guy. He is relatively smart and is good at solving puzzles. Friendship isnt something Rain really desires, and could care less if you liked him. But he does like the be nice to people, and help them out. History: Rain grew up in the Lab, like everyone else. Persona: I really hate being outside in the sun. I would rather go outside at night and sleep during the day. Because of my likeliness to spontaneously combust, I have a hard time going to any kind of restaurant or food stand without being driven away. It's a hassle, but thanks to the pill the scientists gave me, I got better at controlling the gas leakage from my pores, as disgusting as it sounds. I would have to say that I really like the scientists. They were always nice to me, so I think I was brought up really well. But if you dare to get me angry, I'm not the only thing that's going to burn up.

History: There isn't much to tell about my history. I was born in this place, grew up in this place, and was released just like anyone else. I did spend some of my childhood looking for my parents, after Leia, one of the people who cared for me as a child, read me a book called Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Persona: For many years, I have been putting up with these tests, but I have to say that I don't approve. With all the ones who died before me, I feel very upset that they had to go through such an unnatural process, leaving me as the result. Though, I am grateful for my life, and thus will not complain. I am what some have called a solitary soldier, because I generally avoid crowds. The voices usually hurt my head, and it's not very comfortable to always be hearing a slur of thoughts that aren't meant for me.

History: Throughout my time in the labs, I studied often and avoided much contact with others. I secluded myself with the thought that others may find my unnaturally cold air would scare them. This caused a bit of an emotional barrier to form. It wasn't my doing, but it happened. It took me a long time to notice it, but when I did, I felt regretful and scared, even if it didn't show on my face. I read many different books, gaining all sorts of information, but in return, slowly detaching myself from the world.
