I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped and I was in the darkness
So darkness I became

Moonshade opened her blue eyes, blinking as they widened when she heard Secretgrudge get up and move closer to her. She swallowed nervously, and her dark hackles rose before he licked her cheek. She froze, hackles lowering slowly. She stared at the ground for a good moment or two, waiting in silence as the tom retreated quickly to his own nest. But for some reason, she was disappointed. Disappointed that he'd left. She hadn't expected that from him at all. She remembered when she licked his nose in the forest earlier that day; maybe that was what he felt then. She turned her pretty face in his direction slowly, disbelief shining in her eyes.
Now, all she wanted was warmth, and comfort. She couldn't stand just falling back asleep confused. Moonshade got to her paws slowly, careful not to let any of the herbs move from their places, and made her way to his nest. Thankfully, it wasn't far from hers and she stood right where his face was, looking down. One ear was bent awkwardly. "Secretgrudge?" she whispered. "I.....I'm sorry..." she paused, trying to look at his face. "About everything. Everything stupid I've done."

Spiderfrost hissed in pain. Her entire body throbbed as if it was on fire, and the argument going on in the background wasn't helping.

"Ugh...would the two of you stop with this ruckus, my head is pounding."

~*~Secretgrudge
Secretgrudge looked up to the she-cat as she spoke. He felt his pelt heat up and he awkwardly looked away unable to get any words out.

"You've done....nothing wrong..." he muttered.

I can see that tiny light inside you, crying to break free.

Starpaw looked at her mentor, "OKay, sorry! I'll be back in a second to give you your herbs!" She said and dashed off to where the herbs were stored.

"I acted like a nervous kit. I've made you feel out of place. All the things you... well, you yelled at me about," she whispered still. She wanted to get it out now. "I'm just...I.. I just wanted to say it now." She looked at her paws, leaning on one side, still trembling from that dream. She was still confused and unsure. What had I done that ruined my relationship with the both of them so much? Whatever it is, I'm not going to let it happen The fighting reminded her of her brother, and how she'd had such an awful, completely pointless fight with him that lead the two to non-speaking terms for a good whole moon. Only a week after that moon after, they finally tried to talk it out and ended up racing through the forest again like she did with Darkpelt when they were apprentices. But it was all two good for her, for that was when that badger took him away from her forever. She sighed softly, sadness and desperation glittering in her dark eyes. "Can I sit with you? Just for now? I..." She looked back down. "..I don't want to be alone,'' she finished slowly.

Spiderfrost grunted in attempt to get to her paws.

"I can do it myself..."

The tom nodded and made room for Moonshade in his nest.

Moonshade looked up, smiling softly. She stepped in his nest, and settled down stiffly. She kept all her weight off her leg until she was lying by Secretgrudge and sighed gently. She blinked at him slowly, feeling a little happier, just feeling his warmth. She then snuggled closer to him, pressing against his side and lay her head on her paws, near his own. She could count on him for being a good friend; despite ridiculous quarrels. "Thank you," she whispered. Thank you for being here no matter what...

Secretgrudge sighed, relaxing after Moonshade lay down next to him. It was and odd feeling to him, lying beside a she-cat he couldn't figure out how he felt about. Setting his head in his paws as well he closed his eyes to her soft voice.

"...anytime Moonshade..."

Moonshade smiled, closing her eyes. She rested head against his shoulder slightly, and purred as she fell back asleep. This moment was absolutely picture-perfect. She hardly paid attention to her wounds for she was too relieved and happy. Her soft fur brushed up against his. As she sank back into darkness and her mind gave way to gentle sleep, no more nightmares disturbed her, laying by Secretgrudge.

Secretgrudge staid silent as Moonshade fell asleep against him and he followed soon after.

Starpaw stared at her mentor blankly. "Sit. Down. Now." She ordered, If you get up Spiderfrost, you will get an ugly side of me. She thought as she gathered up the last of the herbs to apply and give to Spiderfrost. Sighing, the only reason she was so angry was that Spiderfrost always did things herself. She wanted to atleast once do something as little as treat her mentor herself.
