Eldilin watched thoughtfully at the strange, nearly childish attitude of the Fell Beast. He turned as he heard Mina's voice.
"We can't afford loosing any horses" he said, the strange sense of recognition coming back to him again. Where had he seen her before? He frowned. He never forgot anyone that he had met, but there was something familiar about her.
"It will come back, and we can´t risk him hurting anyone" he said, before shooting another arrow. He didn't like killing animals, but to win this war, they had to be careful.


Bobby was torn between going to look at the beast or running as far away as he could from it. He found it fascinating and scary at the same time. He stood there, his small dagger half unsheathed, and glancing at all the elves that shot arrows at the creature.

Mina frowned, he was right. Respecting his choice she backed down to the hobbit's side. 'Poor thing.' she thought sighing.

Shadow looked through his only eye at the elves through a small hole in his wing, he whimpered and backed away flapping his wings. But he couldn't fly, fear was making his muscles to intense and hard. With blood draining from his eye would he screeched seeing the blood trickle down his neck and slender body.

Giwen
of The Dúnedain

Giwen had been traveling for many weeks after leaving Rohan. She had heard tell of battle towards Mordor and knew that there was always need for a Hackler on a battle field. Riel tossed her head, wary from the long road but it would not be long now till they reached the Gondorian camp. A sudden sound of snapping twigs caused Riel to spin around. Hands grabbed onto her reins and Giwen drew her sword. "Long way from home Giwen!" a voice sounded. Giwen laughed and lowered her sword. It was just a Gondorian scout, one whom she knew not well but he seemed to know her. Suddenly a screech filled the air and the hands let go of her reins. Riel galloped towards the distant camp that was under attack, Giwen just managed to sheath her knife before pulling her bow loose and shooting at the foul creature. Things where soon in hand and she lowered her bow. She turned aside her horse and rode towards Eldilin, a man she knew well. She had visited him a few times while tending to wounded horses.

Bobby suddenly had an idea. Plucking up his courage, he trotted over to the elf and tugged on his sleeve.
"Sir" he said over the roar of the wind and the shouts "Maybe, maybe we could capture it, and use it against the enemy"
Eldilin stopped shooting and looked at the small hobbit thoughtfully. He was definetly clever, and Eldilin had never thought of that.
"Stop!" he shouted to the elves, who lowered there bows, looking at him doubtfully "Search for ropes, and tie the beast as well as you can" he smiled at the hobbit and began to tie a long rope to an arrow. Then he shot it right over the creature's head. It hit the ground underneath and pinned the Fell beast down, along with all the others that were being shot.
Eldilin turned as he saw Giwen "Suilaid, Giwen" he said, smiling.

Shadow screeched and lead down not wanting any ore pain, the ropes weren't so bad, but it was still a shock. Growling at everything that came close to him.
Mina smiled and walked carefully over o the Fell Beast, she pulled out a white bandage from her pocket.
Shadow eye narrowed and he hissed at her, shuffling backwards.
"It's OK." she cooed resting her hand on his snout, gentle not to startle him more than he already was.
Shadow whimpered and looked at the elves and their ropes cautiously.
Mina rapped her figures around the arrow that had pierced his eyes. Then carefully he pulled it out rapping the bandage immediately around his head to stop anymore blood loose. "There, that wasn't so bad." she whispered stepping away from him.
Shadow hummed from his chest, although his mouth was tied shut he didn't feel trapped.

"Le suilon* Eldilin." she said with a smile and dismounted before glancing back at the Fell Beast. "Manen nalyë?**" she asked before returning to the normal tongue so that all may understand. "May I join your company, heal the wounded horses, soldiers too." she said stroking her oddly colored mare and keenly watching the elf in front of her. "You will need my help." she added hoping to convince him, it would not be the first time her offers had been turned away. Nearly every elf knew who her father is and her her mother was. Many thought the Hackler herself to be just as dark. Her mare tossed her head at the sight of one of the wounded horses and Giwen glanced at it with a slight wince. She noted the girl helping the Beast and put all questions aside, "Who is she?" she asked watching with distaste.

Eldilin hesitated, but then nodded "You may join us" he knew that many people had turned her away just because of her past, but he knew she was not dark, like her parents, and a hackler was always helful to have. "I do not know who she is, but somehow..." he shook his head, deciding not to tell her about the familiar feeling he had about that girl. The elf quickly changed subject "You know how to cure horses. Would you know how to cure the fell beast's wounds? We are going to keep him as a weapon against the enemy"

Mina stood up and walked back to the hobbit, "Good. work." she nudged him gently with her elbow .

Shadow roared out now like the blackness from the bandage any more. The only darkness he liked was the one of his cave on a quiet night. But this was far off from that.
