"Alpha, I have to wait for Chibi and Sorrena, don't I? You said we need to be extra careful. And I think I can see them. Look!" little Spade pointed at the cave opening. There stood Chibi, Sorrena, Pip and Frost. They looked puffed out. It happened that while Spade was thinking of his plan to solve the Alpha's problems, the Hawk appeared, and nearly saw them.

Chibi huffed,"T...that old h...hawk near...nearly saw us *huff*.He's r...really angry h...he didn't g...g...get us j...just n...n...now..."

Aurora sighed "Of course i didn't mean on your own silly! with me and smudge," She said amused. Aurora turned to the pair and yanked Spade from the entrance "get in!" she yelled as the hawks wings swooshed by. It landed not far from the burrow it's beady eyes watching them coolly.

"Alpha, we are ready to go!" said the Spade and Chibi kitkins, after 5 minutes. They had already allowed the two other kitkins, Pipsqueak and Frost, into the flurry."We don't know if they want to come. I don't think the should. After all, they need to get used to this place. Sorrena's going to stay back and look after the campus, as well as help the two newbies get used to this place,"piped up Chibi,"She said that we need someone to protect this place, so she is willing to stay behind. She says that next time, she is going to make me, Spade and Smudge look out. She doesn't want to miss out on the fun, hunting with you Alpha!"

"Yay!"celebrated the two kitkins,"Lets go back to camp.

Meanwhile, Spade thought about what the Alpha said to Smudge"—absolutely no reason why you should look in my burrow!—"
That meant the problem was in the burrow. Spade walked over to Smudge. He asked whether they were going to her burrow. He was also going to tell Chibi, Sorrena and the new recruited-if there were any- members. They would set out at night, and find out what it is.

Smudge

The small male shook his head. "I trust Aurora. If she has a secret, there must be a good reason why she's keeping it from us. Maybe you couls ask her if something's wrong- you're older than me so she might trust you with her problems."

As they set of, Spade whisphered his long thought reply to Smudge. "Maybe I will do that. But if she doesn't tell, promise you will come with us to explore. We want to let the Alpha be the real her, not the worried her. She has enough on her plate with the Hawk. We need to help her. Maybe she thinks we will worry about it too, but I want to make sure it's nothing big, and we can protect and help her. After all, she is our leader, in fact, a very sister like leader" *^^*

(I do want to know about the secret. But it depends on you two, Wolf(on a treadmill) and Cloud^^

"Well..." she said peering out there was no sign of the hawk "i suppose it wouldn't hurt to get in some extra food before it gets dark we have a lot of mouths to feed after all..." She stretched and yawned showing off her brilliant white teeth. "Come on then! oh and smudge...? i need to talk to you when we get back. ALONE. oh yes and one last thing if any kit goes in my burrow while i'm out i'll feed you to the hawk," She smiled evilly. "Off we go!" she continued cheerfully as if nothing had happened.

There was a very noisy conversation at the hall, where Smudge and Alpha Aurora left. Spade and Chibi's 'whispered'(or really very loud, though they think it is whispering^^) conversation was very secret(nobody was near by)

Why is the Alpha meeting Smudge alone?

"Well as you may have noticed there is something I've been meaning to tell you guys and since it will be affecting you the most i figure it's only fair that i tell you first and perhaps get your opinion on a few things" Aurora said mysteriously.

Pip wandered around his eyes wide with wonder he'd never had a proper burrow complex before!
