♦ Cassie Houten • 17 • Shapeshifter : Mackenzie Valley Wolf • Female ♦

Cassie leaned back, smiling as he kissed her. Then her smile vanished and her body tensed with shock. She pushed him off so she could sit up. "Love me?" She shook her head. "Boy, you don't even know me. I just met you for crying out loud." She looked at him with an uneasy expression. Why the hell did he just say that? Has he seen me before or somthin'? Kinda freaked now, Cassie stood up. She was shaking slightly, though you could barely notice. Afraid she might shift, she grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. "You know, maybe I should go." She glanced at the clock. "It's getting rather late." Without waiting for a response, she grabbed her skateboard and bolted down the stairs and out the back door. Cassie immediately tossed the board on the ground when she got outside and pushed off with her foot. She skated down a few blocks until she reached the edge of the woods. She stopped and stashed her stuff under some bushes. She then dashed into the woods, shifting mid-stride as she ran. The wind rushed through her creamy white fur as she went.

Jayden breathed a relieved sigh when the girl entered the shop. "No, it's absolutely alright." He smiled at her. "Please, come on in." He beckoned with his hand for her to enter and he stood up from where he sat on the stool. He stepped out from behind the counter and took a couple step towards her. He raised his hand up so he could shake hers in greeting. "My name is Jayden by the way. May I ask your name?"

Chase rummaged through the kitchen looking for something to eat. All he found was his dads expensive diet crap. It had absolutely no taste so there was no way he was eating that. He sighed and debated whether to call for some sort of delivery or just go out and get something himself. He ran his hand through his hair and grabbed the home phone off the counter. He dialed the number for the local pizza place and ordered a medium cheese pizza, a Pepsi, and some wings. "Alright, we're working on your order right now. The total is $18.76. Someone will be by your house in approximately 30-45 minutes. Thank you and have a good day." There was a click as the other line cut off. After he set the phone back on the receiver, Chase went through the drawer near the phone and pulled out a twenty. They can keep the change for a tip or whatever. He walked over to towards door and set the money on the side table that was in the entrance way before he walked into the living room and sat on the couch to watch TV while he waited.

♦ Megan Summers • 20 • Human • Female ♦

Megan watched as the sun began to slowly descend towards the horizon from high up in the sky. She checked her watch. Only 7:38. She didn't have anywhere to be since she'd finished school last year and lived away from her parent with no plans on taking up college before next year. She was taking a break from school this year. Megan kicked her feet through the air at the edge of the pier with a contented sigh. This would probably bore most but she actually loved the peace that came with sitting here towards the end of the just watching the nature and scenery.

Alice gave him a small, slightly relieved smile that she had not intruded. She held out her smaller hand and shook Jayden's, nodding. "Nice to meet you, Jayden." The girl said, smiling nervously. "I'm... uh... Alice." Alice said, forgetting her name for a moment. She glanced around, gazing in awe at the set up of the gallery. "I was... wondering if there was... an opening for a job... maybe? It is perfectly fine if not..." She said timidly, blinking.

Noelle stalked past Megan, at first oblivious. Not being wary of her surroundings, the blonde tripped over a small stone and fell, grunting. "Ow..." She grunted, pushing herself up a bit. "stupid stone..." Noelle growled, hauling herself to her feet and brushing off her shirt.

Jayden smiled at the girl. "Very nice to meet you as well, Alice." He glanced over at Riley, remembering what she'd said about needing a job. She didn't really seem like someone he'd want to hire but he couldn't just hand the job to someone else right in front of her. "Well.. Hold on just a moment." He looked over at Riley, trying to think of a polite way to get her to go. "I.. I don't think this conversation is for right now. Maybe I'll talk to you later, okay?" He smiled at Riley, somewhat half-heartedly. "See you." Jayden turned his attention back to Alice. "If you'll come to the back room with me, we can talk about it there."

Megan tore her attention away from her surroundings as she heard the grunt of a girl behind her. She stood from where she sat at the edge the pier and walked over to her. She crouched down in front of her and offered her hand to help her stand. Megan smiled and spoke in a friendly tone. "Are you okay?"

Riley looked at jayden in shock and hurt."b-but we were talking and it WAS important!that's unfair!"she said and hopped off the counter.She grabbed his wrist with both hands.She looked up at him in distress."that's not fair" she repeted quietly,her head down.

"wait!" he said and jumped off the couch.He ran through the back door and the streets."Cassie!"he yeled her namr every few second.He came to the border of the woods and walked in.He looked around and saw a flash of white."c-cassie?" he said still looking around.He foolowed the white flashes and followed them.He looked back.He was lost and cassie was gone.He sat down,his back on a tree and put his hands on his face.He had no idea why he loved her.He guessed it was love at first sight
