Echokit looked at Lynxkit and calmed down, laughing, she chased after her and nipped at her tail playfully, but stopped to stare at the sky as light streaked across the sky with a big boom of thunder, the thing clans fear the most. The things that scare even the toughest of warriors out of their fur. The thing that can either save clans, or destroy them in a heart beat. Lightning.

A flash of lighting brightened the Medicine cat den after the Marigold was spread over Moonshades wound. The white she-cat jumped, her eyes widening in horror as she tried to hide the faint image of her shaking.

"I don't know, she's my apprentice, but I don't keep her confined to the camp!" Spiderfrost snapped.

Lynxkit jumped in surprise at the sudden flashes of light.

Eaglesong looked at Spiderfrost "Well I know but-" He was cut off by another lightning strike, and jumped at the sound of the thunder, Eaglesong looked at Spiderfrost, knowing she was hiding something, but didn't mention anything.

Echokit looked at Lynxkit and sugnaled with her tail to come back in side the nursery. Without waiting for further notice, she bolted back into the nusrsery and hid in Dewstorm's huge fluffy, mixed colored coat. For Echokit was afraid of storms and hated every part of it.

Starpaw stared down at the stream, taking no notice to the storm. Sighing, she looked into the water and a vision hit her, but it was faint. All she saw was blood, and the peircing sound of a storm, but not that one. Then it changed to a tree falling, but before Starpaw could interprete it, a lightning bold hit the ground right were Starpaw was lying, but on the other side of the stream. Gasping, she shook her head, "No, that can't mean I'm going to die Starclan! No! I won't accept it! Don't try killing any cat! Not even Angelson-well, maybe. But that doesn't count!" She yowled to the sky as the loudest boom of thunder hit. Panicing, Starpaw bolted out into the trees, stopping barely a mouse-lengh away from where lightning hit a tree and it fell down. "No! No! No! Neither me or Spiderfrost are going to die!" She cried angrily again. Starpaw easily jumped over the log and dashed into the camp. "Spiderfrost!" She yowled, running into the medicine cats' den.

Quickly, Spiderfrost finished with Moonshade and sent her away as Thunder started ringing. The she-cats eyes filled with fear and something else that another could not interpret.

You aren't taking me yet you dead cats... Spiderfrost thought to herself spitefully. The sound of Starpaws frantic yowl snapped her back to reality. She poked her head out of her den.

"Starpaw get in here. it's about to rain."

Lynxkit followed closely behind her friend and huddled close to her siblings.

Echokit looked at Lynxkit and sivered as Dewstorm and her brothers cuddled close together. She knew there was something different about this storm. Somthing unusual was going to happen and it wasn't good.

Starpaw dashed inside to Spiderfrost. "Spiderfrost! I had an omen! Someone is going to die! And I was almost crushed by a tree! And before then, I was at the stream and I saw blood everywhere and evil laughing! Then, after that, I looked across the stream and lightning hit the very spot I was sitting in on the opposite side! What does this mean?" She meowed in terror.

Spiderfrost put her tail over her apprentices flank to calm her.

"Clam down Starpaw, you won't be able to think straight if you continue to panic. Now slowly...tell me what you saw in detail. Were there any voices to what you believed to be an omen? Or was it just the images?" she interrogated. The Medicine Cats pelt felt like it was freezing over with fresh snow, she gulped. To keep the uncertainty from showing, the she-cat narrowed her eyes as if to think.

Starpaw took in a deep breath and let out a long sigh. "OKay," She said, starting from the beginning. "I had went to the stream to get away from camp for a little while. I had just been ignoring the storm and staring into the water as somthing faint hit me. It was an omen. It showed blood everywhere, and the yowls of terror. Then it changed. There were two cats and a third lying between them. They were just outlines of the cats though. But when I tried to look forwards, it changed to a tree falling, the biggest tree in the forest, and the moment it hit the ground, I could feel the terror in every cat. As if they had just whitnessed the Dark Forest take over Starclan. So I opened my eyes and heard the loudest thunder you could ever hear, and a single lightning bolt struck, but instead of staying in the sky, it hit the same spot I was sitting, except across the stream. So, trying to clear my head, I darted back, and I heard another warning thunder noice, but I took no procoution and kept going. Then, a lightning bolt hit the very tree that could've crushed me a heart-beat before, and it tumbled, falling quickly. It was so close to me, that the actual bark of the tree touched my paws. Then I was worried. I jumped over it and ran here, to right now, in the present time." She ended, knowing it was a mouthful but it was everything, in detail.

Spiderfrost listen intently as she processed the possible meanings to the omen. She glanced towards Eaglesong for a moment, he hardly looked like he wanted to leave, so she would let the tom stay.

"Eaglesong, mention nothing about what I am about to say to anyone." without waiting for a reply she faced her apprentice.

"This is indeed an omen of death. The two that stood over the third cat are obviously the culprits. The lighting that struck you could have indicted that it will be you who dies, but when it struck the spot ahead of you, that could possibly translate into meaning the cat above you will be the target. Then a tall tree falling after being shot by lighting...trees stand for power and wisdom...." She continued on with her thoughts out loud, if where her thinking was going was correct Starpaw could possibly just be the messenger, not the victim.

Starpaw shook her head, "No! But you-you can't die! I can't let you!" She said, replaying the omen in her head, and saw Eaglesong's head bow in sadness, "I won't accept it either." Suprised, Starpaw wiped around to see Eaglesong stand with his head high. "But who would kill you?" She said, turning back around.
