@Bᴀᴄᴋᴡᴀʀᴅs - Thanks for the compliment. As for the shading, speeding up would only make it kinda messy. You don't have to shade everything, I personally love to do flat colors occasionally. Alright, so I've been working on anatomy for my canines, and I've started with hind legs. Boy, the first drawing with good hind leg anatomy was great, then I started making the leg too short and then I just started drawing in my old style again... Well, I generally getting used to realistic hind legs.

Anyways, I've been drawing today and I came up with an idea/challenge for myself. X3

I've decided to design a fake album cover of each of my characters with their theme song as the album name. Of course, I'm putting the band's name on it too. Gotta give them credit for the awesome song, right? 83
Anyways, this one took me about two hours, and I've started one for my character Yuki a few minutes ago. I plan to have the first three done tonight, but... Oi, I might be up for a while. XD

My anatomy's getting better, isn't it? X3
I drew myself. I am in fact wearing that right now, and was when I was drawing that. XD
Took me about five hours, since I kept doddling, and changed the hip/hand/hair/left leg about five times each. XD
And, yes, I know the left arm is messed up! You don't need to critique that! I made the sketch on Paint, and I couldn't see a lot so it got messed up! I tried fixing it for about thirty minutes!

Any critique/comments for my two drawings are very much welcome, and I will try to reply to all critique and comments. If I don't, I'll mention you in my next Art Posting Post. :3

@ witch ; wow that's really cute! nvn i'd suggest working on hand anatomy a bit,trust me everyone needs hand help because they are evil. i really like the shading,it's lovely! i'd also suggest working on face structure as soon as possible,since it makes everything look more unique and less run of the mill. like different faces,body shapes,that sorta thing.

@ lock ; i really like the way you lined this piece! :o his left arm seems a bit ill placed though,as his hand wouldn't be that far up at that angle of elbow. and maybe his legs are a bit stiff,so you may want to make them more detailed instead of seeming sorta angular? like maybe show the ankle more or something? are you going to add on a tail later? that may also be why it looks a bit empty. i really love your style ehe i can redline if you wish but im not the best at males because they aren't curvy unu

@ koiyote ; i think it looks really cool! the front legs look a tad stiff though so you may want to move the elbow around,because i think it's a bit too low or that it should bend like that in the pose it's in. you may want to point the tail upwards,to the side,or flat on the ground in the future but i can tell you were out of paper so that's probably why it's there?
and to answer your question,i've never used animal anatomy books,i've used tutorials,watched my own animals,and looked at references at most. same with humans. i've never really studied the bones but i pretty much understand how to build them out of shapes and such.


this is all i have to show for today. i think i screwed up on her eyes/face proportions. i've mostly been working on face shapes and poses so yeah nothing much from me :v

Any ideas or crit on how I could work on my lineless work would be nice.

I have also attempted lineless before, but it never works for me haha. I am looking for some help with the canine anatomy and making eyes. I like my style but I have lost my realistic touch. If someone could even post links to tutorials that would be a great help, thanks

Its one front leg looks extreamly thin. I love the colors together though^^ Maybe if you used more shading it woulsnt look like paper? But it does look nice, definatly better than I have gotten for a lineless haha.

I'm sorry Narwhal, but that blueline is way off. If you really don't know much on a subject, then simply give crits. The "correction" would do harm instead of help.
