((Playing a new Steam game. Bontacula; a point-and-click adventure about...little bug/plant things trying to save an alien star-tree ecosystem from a freaky life-sucking spider-thing...With Indian//Middle-Eastern banjo music...0.o))
Barbas let out a whine. He wanted to protect Chimere (and so did Javed, but in a more violent-oriented way) but that wasn't going to happen. He leaned into Chimere's touch, then moved away and sat in front of Kurou. He might be able to protect Kurou from Javed.
Joseph watched Keegan, confused by the boy's movements. He seemed to be moving slowly, but then he got in front of him. He sped up to try and match Keegan, staying quiet as well.

((That's really weird, dude...))
"That you don't remember is just proof that you don't pay attention to the little things in life," Lovecraft said with a smile, a knowing smile that hinted at things best left unseen, that reminded one of otherworldly creatures waiting in the shadows of a crumbling house in the witching hours of the night. "Cthulhu and I need to speak. Alone. There are things that mortals should not be privy to, Kurou. Or Alex, if you prefer. Plus, I don't think you'll want to be in the room, anyway..."
"Thank you, Barbas. I promise I'll let you give him hell if anything happens to me," Chimere whispered, smiling at the dog, a calm light in her eyes. "Alright, Professor. You said we needed to talk?"

Rather creeped out by the teacher's smile, Alex shivered a little, leaning against the wall behind him and hugging his knees into his chest. "Why wouldn't I want to be there? You going to do something inappropriate?! Yes I would prefer to be called Alex, thanks, because that was the name my parents gave to me and the name that I've grown up with!" he snapped, beginning to lose his cool more than slightly. Looking down as that strange dog came to sit in front of him, Alex sighed deeply and buried his head in his knees, growling under his breath that if Lovecraft tried anything on Chimere, there WOULD be trouble and there was no doubt about that...
Watching Joseph curiously, Keegan's face curved into a small smile as he saw the boy attempt to match his movements. Keegan had never really understood why his pattern of motion seemed so fascinating to everyone. He just moved normally, didn't he? Hlting when he was a while away from where the commotion seemed to be happening, Keegan bowed his head and looked out at Joseph with an expectant gaze, without speaking a single word.
The moonlight dances around me
As I strike a ghostly pose
Mirrors of water shift beneath my feet
And I raise a hand to smell a rose
The full moon blazes true o'erhead
Bathes the world in silver beams
Blossoms are dancing around me
In my world of Moonlit Dreams...

((Yep. Very awesome game, tho.))
Barbas looked up at Alex, lightly nudging the boy's knees. As much as Javed would love to see Alex here, as defeated as he was, the dog hated it. He wasn't evil like his master; he was simply a dog that followed orders. He was all the good in the creatures known as Clavicus Vile.
Joseph stopped as Keegan did. The white-haired kid looked up at him, as if expecting him to do or say something. He blushed out of nervousness and absentmindedly smoothed his hair back down, "Umm...What?" He half-asked, half-said.

((Well, it sure sounds like it! XD)(Alright! How long?))
Looking down as he felt a nudge upon one of his legs, Alex slowly looked down to see Javed's dog looking at him. At first Alex tried to ignore it, remembering how much he hated Javed, but then he sighed deeply and looked down at the dog. He raised an eyebrow and smiled meekly. "What do you want, boy?" he asked softly, stretching out a hand for the dog to sniff, and using the other to ruffle the creature's ears.
Smiling a little at Joseph's nervousness, Keegan lowered his head a little more, then looked up. His fringe flopped a little, and lights briefly danced on the jewel that was embedded in his forehead. "Anything that you want to speak of?" he asked quietly, his voice hypnotic and lulling, encouraging confidence within the listener, yet at the same time not demanding an answer. "So... you're new here? So am I. I started this morning. You may have heard of me?"

((Aww...Oh well!))
Barbas smiled as Alex scratches his ears. He sniffed the free hand, then gave it a big lick. He wagged his tail and watched the boy with his big, sentient eyes, trying to cheer him up with his furriness. Humans always loved furry things.
Joseph looked down at Keegan, giving him a shrug, "Yeah, I'm new here...My parents are signing me in now. I don't know anybody here."

Smiling absentmindedly as Barbas sniffed his hand, Alex kept his hand there and kept scratching the dog's head. Jolted from his thoughts as the dog gave his hand a huge wet lick, Alex looked around seeming confused for a second, then went back to rubbing the dog's ears. "Huh... Hard to believe a dude as... Well, uncool as that could have a dog who actually likes me..." he muttered almost inaudibly, then smiled a little as he looked at the dog's big eyes and watched his wagging tail.
"My parents signed me in just this morning. I'm already starting to doubt the sanity of the teachers." He couldn't help smiling. "And I'm kinda wondering if this is a dream, you know. Earlier today a classroom almost collapsed on us... and someone blamed me. I was just standing there trying to stop a fight." He paused. "I don't know many. Most seem to keep to themselves. Me too, for the most part, but I feel... Empty, without anyone I know here." Despite the honesty in his words, Keegan's voice seemed devoid of emotion.

Barbas's smile fell. He and Javed were one technically, but they were different people as well. He had his own thoughts and feelings...but Alex didn't see that. And he still loved Javed, no matter what the boy would do to Barbas and other people. His trail drooped, and he gave Alex a sad look.
"Yeah. This place is....certainly odd. Are all high schools like this?" Joseph asked, "I've been home-schooled until now." He looked at Keegan, "The classroom collapsed and everyone blamed you? That's weird." He sighed.
