'Why can't you smile?'
'I can't. I . . I just can't. Look.'
She struggled vainly to turn the corners of her mouth up into a smile, but it never came. She was disfigured, only slightly, but in the worst place; her mouth. He lovely, rosebud lips were marred by a cleft lip palate, the thing you hear about but not often see. Tears brimmed, threatening to spill out, but she tipped her head up and looked him in the eye fiercely.
'See? I just can't.'
He looked at her thoughtfully, and opened his mouth to say something, but stopped short. He was strangely touched by this defiant child, this orphaned girl living in the streets, with a face no-one wanted to see. His heart twisted as she once again tried to move her mouth. It was painful to watch.
'Hey, hey there. Stop that - you'll do yourself an injury.'

But they both knew she already had the worst injury a child could have - the injury of being cast out on the street by your own parents, simply because you didn't look the part.

He straightened, glad that the film crew had gone back to the car for a while.
'Come on,' he smiled, reached for her small hand. She stepped away cautiously.

'It's alright; we're just going to see a doctor. You want to smile, don't you?'

She walked forward and held his hand, trembling.
'Yes.'

Queen Cassandra and the Servant
~Part two~

First part

Queen Cassandra walked up the dusty lane. She was going to see how the King of Pecunia was doing, she loved him. Not the once in a while love, oh no. This was fairytale true love. She sat down behind a tree, waiting to see him. And lo, behold. There he was, his blue fur shining beautifully in the afternoon sun. Queen Cassandra's heart fluttered in her chest, that's it, he was going to propose to her, and if he didn't she would make sure he would.

While she was busy daydreaming about her wedding dress and such, she saw another dog appear from behind a tree. Her eyes shining like emeralds, Queen Cassandra quickly snapped out of her daydream. She knew who she was, she was the Princess of Somnia, A.K.A, "The Green Country" So called because it was never short on crops or anything like that. Queen Cassandra was jealous of her because of this, but she was about to become even more so when she saw what happened next.

The King of Pecunia smiled when he saw her, he walked up to her and kissed her on the cheek. The Princess of Somnia giggled and kissed him back.

Queen Cassandra gasped and ran away quickly, tears falling from her yellow eyes.

*Timeskip to, um... three hours later? Yeah, that sounds about right!

White smoke appeared in a corner of the Queen's bedchamber, The Servant appeared as the mist dispersed, sitting down with his middle eye closed. "You called, your Majesty?" He asked, she had called him because of an "emergency".

Queen Cassandra was lying on her large bed, her right arm covering her eyes. She then whispered in a soft, but hate-filled voice.

"Make sure the Green country stands no more."

Based on my true story.

Our love was meant to be, but why can't they see?
Age is just a number my friends, no matter how old.

Even if only a few years lye between us, we are still not allowed to be.

Part 1

Learning about the princess and the knight

Bandits point of view
I sat on my trusty steed as i watched the princess with careful eyes. I sat alert making sure no one would be able to hurt her or myself. She sat under a tree reading. I had been asked to watched the princess since i was the kings most trusted knight. I agreed since i had no choice but i really didn't mind because i enjoyed making sure she was safe. I have a little crush on her. She is beautyful,nice,kind,cute, smart and the list goes on and on. I have had a crush on her since i had been transfered to this castle.

I am upset because she is unavaliable because she is dating that jerk Luke from the other kingdom. He doesn't deserve her because he doesn't care about her. All he cares about is inheriting her castle and then dumping her in a lake like he does with all the princesses he dates.

I sigh but a smile creeps onto my face as i see Bridget walk over to me. "Hello Princess Bridget..." I say with a regal tone. I get off my horse and give her a bow. She gives me a nod and she then speaks. "Hello Knight Bandit..." She said to me with her normal tone. She gives me a small smile and then says "My father wants to see me immediatly and i was wondering if you could give me a ride to the main entrence on your horse?" She looked at me quizzly and i smile and nod. I climb back onto my horse and help her up. I blush a little when our hands touch but it soon disappers. She holds onto me as we trot out of the court yard and over to the main entrence. "Goodbye knight Bandit" She says with a courtsey and she then disappers into the castle. "Goodbye my Love" I whisper,with a longing look in my eye, before galloping out into the training field.

Bridgets point of view

I sat under the oak tree which was located in the courtyard. I was reading a novel about proper manners and i sighed closing it. I noticed a knight watching me and I stood up and started to walk over to him. I then realized who he was when he spoke and gave me a bow. "Hello Knight Bandit" I greeted him with a nod. I gave him a small smile as i glanced at the clock. I panicked inside. I was late once again for a meeting with my father. I spoke to Bandit keeping my panic under control. "My father wants to see me imediatly and i was wondering if you could give me a ride to the main entrence on your horse?" I looked at him with a curious look. He smiled and nodded.

I watched as he climbed onto his horse and reached down his hand to help me up. I take his hand and i noticed his blush before it quickly faded. I hold onto him tightly so i wasn't to fall off. When we reached the main entrence i climbed off the horse and said, with a courtsey, "Goodbye Knight Bandit" I began to climb the dark spiraling staircase up to my fathers bedroom.
