It has been centuries since the ring was destroyed, and the people of Middle Earth thought that finally peace had arrived, but they were wrong. An unknown enemy has appeared in the East, and now are making their way towards Mordor. They have camped at the foot of the mountains, and are attacking innocent people, making their way into the country. These creatures have never been seen before. They are semi human, but with extraordinary abilities, being hard even for an elf to defeat. Although they are small, about the size of a dwarf, they are extremely slender and agile, and their figure is slightly blurred, so they are hard to see and to look almost like a shadow,making it difficult to catch them. They have long, slightly curved swords, that they handle with ease, and some even have a strange, triangle shaped bow.
It is obvious that the inhabitants of Middle Earth must fight against this new enemy, before it takes over their world. There are few elves left, as most of them went to the Gray Heavens during the war of the ring. The few that remain must fight, along with humans, dwarves , and maybe even a brave hobbit, to free Middle Earth from these strange and dangerous creatures.

Plot
So this RP is basically about what I wrote above. The people of Middle Earth are all going to team up and fight against the enemy, who they call "The Shadows". There will be several camps. One will be at the edge of Mirkwood, but is making its way towards Mordor. The Rohirrim are gathering and are already camping at the edge of the mountains of Mordor, along with the Gondorians. The dwarves (there are also few left) can be in either of those places. The hobbits... well, just say in your form.
There is a king/queen/commander of each kindom, who will be the one who organizes the others and says when and how they have to go into battle and such.
The Shadows are at the eastern side of Mordor, still organizing themselves. Soon, there will be a battle, and everyone will fight.
Rules
- All of Tess' rules apply.
- Not too much detail in violence or romance, please.
-No chatspeak.
-Please write in past tense. It is very, very confusing if you don't. For example:
"Bring him down, Legolas" I say, pointing at the orc that is running"
That is wrong! WRONG! Instead, write:
"Bring him down, Legolas!" Aragorn shouted, pointing at the small figure of the orc that ran towards the wall.
-Please post more than three lines. Don't just say:
"My name is Pippin" he said
You can always add more detail meaning the same thing, like:
"My name is Pippin" he said nervously, hopping from one foot to the other and trying to not look at the tall human in the eyes
Not only does it make it easier to aswer for the others, but it also gives your character more depth.
-IMPORTANT!: You must have watched at least one of the LotR movies, or read the books. The reason for this rule is that you need to know basic things about the different cultures and places, and have a little knowlege about Middle Earth and its species.
- Only one elf per person! The reason for this is that most people like elves (including me!) more than any other species, so there is bound to be more elves than humans and hobbits, but there aren't that many elves left in Middle Earth! You can have as many humans, hobbits and dwarves as you like though, as long as you keep them all active.
-We also need shadows. They are not completely evil, or monstruous, like the orcs and Uruk- Hai. In the RP we will discover more about their culture and reasons. Before we start, we also need those characters. Don't consider them as " the baddies".
- Be active! If you haven't posted in a week, I will PM you. If you don't answer after another week, your characters will be removed from the list. This won't happen if you put something in your signature or you PM me before, but don't just dissapear!
- You can be a character from the book, but keep in mind that it is about 200 years since the war of the ring, so RPing Sam, for example, wouldn't make sense because he would already be dead, but you could RP his grandchild. Also, you can't RP some elves from the books, Elrond, for instance, because they sailed to the Gray Heavens.
- These rules may change with time.
-It would also be helpful if you knew a bit about the places of Middle Earth and where they are. If you don't, there is a map above.
Battle Rules
Obviously, the characters are in a war, and there must be battles.But there are rules.
- Don't over describe blood or violence.
- You can injure one of the other characters, but for a really serious injury please PM the other person.
-Obviously,some characters have to die. To kill another character, please PM the other person, but also we have to accept that probably at least one of our characters will be killed, so don't keep on saying "No!You can't kill him!" There will be charries that will survive to the end, and you can always make other ones.
