Rainpaw shivered, relieved at her mentor's presence. She panted slightly, trying to relax and wrap her panicked mind around Brambleheart's question. "I'm fine..." She mewed breathlessly, glancing to her companions. "No one's...near it...it's by the river." She shuddered again, her fur flattening again as the rain dripped down. She felt another burst of fear. What if the rain couldn't quench the flames?

Sprucepaw's eyes were wide. "Someone said fire!" She meowed worriedly. "And Foxpaw is injured!" She clutched the wet moss close and stepped back to the hurt apprentice, and started to quickly clean his injuries. She only feared that the apparent fire would make it to camp. How on earth would they get all the cats out in time? It looked like Foxpaw couldn't even move, and their was Moonshade too, and of course the huge amount of kits in the nursery! Sprucepaw flicked her ears, terror blotting out her other emotions.

Foxpaw gulped at his mother's soomthing words. Foxpaw twitched painfully at the screeching words Fire! There's a fire! He gulped in terror. If it made it to camp, would he be left there? Was this his last day of living, o hi first day as an apprentice? Foxpaw flinched as Sprucepaw started cleaning his wounds with moss, though it felt better.

Moonshade blinked, confusion spreading throughout her shattered, dark eyes. She tried to look over at Deathrage. She let out a lost mrrow, not understanding what was going on exactly. All she could comprehend was one word. Fire.
There was too much happening to her in one day; her mind was fried. After the violent fight with Claw and his goons, she honestly didn't have the energy to do anything and she was in too much pain to think straight.
"...De-Deathrage? What's going on?" she asked slowly, fear edging her quiet voice.

Duckpond gave a curse and only faintly hoped that none of the younger ones heard him. "What exactly happened?" He inquired, looking over both the injury and Sprucepaw's workings. He had followed his young apprentice in worry, bringing a few other herbs that she or he might need to help any other injured cats. Duckpond thought of taking over- but knew that Sprucepaw had most of it covered. So he followed, offering moral support and maybe a helping hand if she needed. "Do you think you have it, Sprucepaw?" Duckpond asked, looking at his apprentice seriously.

Deathrage looked at Moonshade sympathetically, "A fire started near the river, but everythings going to be alright," He said in a warroied tone, knowing that would only make it worse for Moonshade.

Sprucepaw glanced back at Duckpond. "I don't actually know what happened." She admitted, ears twitching. She sniffed the wound, now clean, and tossed away the moss. She gently touched Foxpaw's tail and leg, to see if anything was broken or was some other internal injury. To her dismay, his hind foot felt completely shattered. His tail was just badly bruised and cut from whatever had crushed it. She looked trembling over to her mentor, wanting his guidance. "I-I don't know." She stammered truthfully, feeling shaky.

Her dark eyes widened. She swallowed, that comment not really helping; but at least she understood now. She sighed in worry. "Do... do we have to evacuate the camp?" she whispered. If they did... what would happen to her and Foxpaw? Moonshade could hardly move and having to leave would be extremely difficult and slow. Her tail-tip flicked nervously and she honestly just longed for Deathrage's comfort.

Brambleheart nodded, face hardening when he started to think of what to do. "Do you think the fire will reach here or is the rain going to smother the flames, Rainpaw?" he asked. The rain pouring down flattened his pelt quickly and his muscles were extremely defined. He really hoped the storm would control the fire, but most of the time you never knew for the rain wasn't always the best way to get rid of a forest fire.

Deathrage shook his head in dismay. "No, no, we don't have to leave," He said, starting to groom Moonshade's neck hoping to comfort her.

Foxpaw gulped at the pain when Sprucepaw cleaned out his wounds, and flinched when she moved his tail. But what hurt the most was his paw. He let out a small whimper of pain and closed his eyes, "A-a t-t-tree-e," He stampered, feeling the pain all over again from when the huge oak landed on him.
