Kalia curled up tightly, shoving herself in the corner of the den to be alone, but every time she fell asleep, nightmares of reality and what would happen once she woke up kept snapping her awake. She sighed, never having been so exhausted before. She lookedat the roof of the den, wondering what it would be like if they didn't have this curse, this thing, trapping the world in a neverending winter. Her siblings might still be alive. Her parents. Her friends. Nakalla's siblings too.

{For a second I thought Nakalla and Kalia were sisters when I was typing this out x3}

Fae I Coal Black I In her den I

Eclipse shivered but felt much more comfortable in her den then being outside in the blasted winds. She slept soundly and dreamed of Fengo and what Nakalla spoke of this deity. Eclipse wasn't sure whether to believe Nakalla or not, but she hoped that this Fengo was real. She would like to die peacefully when the time came.

Nakalla lay down, too tired to bother to pray. She snorted and ate some snow, letting it melt in her mouth and wet her throat. She closed her eyes wearily and fell into a restless sleep. She dreamed of her few siblings who didn't die when she was with them: Jay, Nierra, Kaec, and Vroa. They were all the closest in age and spirit to her. They were unclear and fuzzy, like a reflection in murky lakewater. Then the water rippled and they disappeared.

Kalia eventually gaveup on sleeping, and looked to the sky, tears streaming down her face. She missed her family, though she had decided not to think about them, she missed her friends, and she was going to die. She didn't know if she wanted to or not, as her friends could still be alive, and a few of her siblings may have just.... ran away? No. Accept your death when it comes. She thought, but she couldn't let herself die. She would tell them in the morning that they needed to find somewhere warm and safe, as infection was setting in on her wound in the freezing snow.

As the white fae realized the situation Concierto simply held a slight smirk on his face. The brute's somewhat misty eyes cleared in an instant at the offer of the food. He blinked, somewhat surprised that anyone would really want to share anything, nonetheless food, with someone like him.

"Well sure, thank you."

The brute took small bites of the deer, so not to upset his suddenly filled stomach, but as the fae spoke to him again Concierto lifted his gaze from the kill. Offering a quick nod in response to her question the interesting name she stated brought a smirk to his face once more.

"A pleasure to meet you, my name is Concierto, it seems my parents favored the Spanish as well as yours."

When Nakalla awoke, in the middle of the night, she looked up and saw the image of a gigantic wolf looking down on her. Nakalla attempted a shriek but the wolf silenced her with a snarl. "Shut up, Naka!" He said. She expected a much more masculine voice, but this voice was higher... not squeaky, but...

"Jay! Y...you're alive?" She smiled and nuzzled him. "But... where did you come from?"

"It's not often when a wolf smells dead bear meat."

Nakalla smiled, but she lost her look of ecstasy quickly. "If my friends see you, they'll freak. Go..." She motioned with her head, "I dunno, out. I don't want these guys to turn on me."


Jay sighed. "Like Vroal."

Nakalla growled. "No talking about him now. Now go!"

Kalia got out of the den, tired but sleepless. maybe she'd find her siblings one day. Maybe they would come into their pack? She was going to wait until morning to tell them she was dying, but then she saw a wolf talking with Nakalla. "Who... is that?!" SHe growled, aware that Nakalla could have been planning an ambush on all of them, just when Kalia had started to trust her.
