Lily Mist
||Main Camp||Talking to: Terra||
Lily Mist gazed off into the distance for a few more minutes as the rest of the pack started to stir. She watched as Terra tried to sneak into camp unnoticed, and had to hold back a laugh when she realized she had been spotted. She was a bit disappointed that she didn’t have a kill with her though. They needed game brought in, things were getting low. She stood up, about to jump down and talk to the hunter when Isis, the beta, came in with a buck. An impressive kill for one wolf, but more importantly a much needed kill. That eased her mind a bit as she jumped down from her rock, her paws hitting the ground without a sound before she made her way over to Terra, a small but friendly smile on her face. "No luck?" She asked. She couldn’t be to upset with the hunter. She had gone out at least. It wasn’t her fault if she didn’t see anything. Though Lily had no way of knowing if she really hadn’t seen anything or didn’t try. But she decided to think the best, and be patient. No use getting upset without knowing the facts.
Tornado
||Main Camp||Talking to: No one||
Tornado fought to try and stay asleep, the ray of the sun creeping into his den. His ears flicked back as he grumbled and held his eyes shut in denial. But as with every morning he finally gave up on trying to ignore the sun and rose to his feet, shaking out his thick fur and yawning, his long canines flashing in the light. He stretched for a moment and let his eyes adjust before stepping out into camp, looking around at everyone that was awake. He wasn’t surprised he was one of the last ones out. It had been his routine since he was a pup.
As he looked around he made his way over to the stream for a drink, noticing Kate as she emerged from the forest. He tried not to watch openly, he knew how she could be and he didn’t want to upset her. He just didn’t understand why she so willingly accepted such a low place in the pack. He knew his sister would allow her to move up if she really wanted, but she didn’t seem to show much interest. Tornado could tell she was smart, but she was defiantly... different.
He sighed as he bent his head to drink, forcing his mind to other things. He heard a snarl not far away, and looked up to see Isis guarding a recent kill, glaring at anyone who dared step within range. He huffed, as if to say 'calm down no one wants it anyway' as he padded away, his own stomach growling and demanding he think of some means of breakfast.
Bear
||Forest & Camp||Talking to: No One||
Bear crouched low, his hackles raised as he watched the 3 small does standing in a thicket just feet away. He was no hunter by any means, born to be a warrior, but this morning he had woken up to an angry growling stomach. So instead of gobbling up someone else’s kill, he decided to try his hand at hunting. He had been stalking these deer for about an hour now, and had spooked them twice, which made them jumpy and nervous now.
He flicked his ears back as he concentrated, the tip of his tail twitching. He had to make this one count. If he spooked them again, he may as well give up. He took a deep breath as the last deer put its head down to graze and sprung, leaping through the brush with a deep snarl. The deer panicked, taking off in the other direction. Bear was close on their heels, but the large wolf just wasn’t built for speed, and was losing ground quickly.
But luck must have been shining on him today, because as the three deer jumped to clear a log, the smallest one lost its footing on the landing and went crashing to the ground, its legs sweeping out from under it and flailing in the air. It let out a terrifying bleat as the large wolf pounced on it, ending it quickly with a powerful bite to the throat. He looked at his kill proudly as he panted. For a born and raised warrior, a small doe was an accomplishment.
He bent and ate his full, satisfying his gnawing stomach before he began to drag it back to the others, to busy with the deer to notice the faint scent of strange wolves on the wind.
Fallen Timber
||Camp||Talking to: No One||
Timber slowly rose from her makeshift den, a small hollow under some tree roots. She cautiously looked around and padded forward, her head held low and her ears back. Her den was away from the others, just close enough that she could still hear and smell them. She stopped at the base of a large tree not too far from her den and dug up the remnants of last night’s dinner, a plump rabbit she had managed to catch.
She finished her breakfast quickly and cleaned her muzzle, the sharp pain of hunger eased from the small meal before she made her way towards the others. Just because she was the omega, didn’t mean she liked to be all by herself. She hated her rank, and hoped one day she would be freed from its horrible grasp.
When she reached the others she sat down at watched the activity, to meek to attempt to join in.
((Sorry it's so long, but it's all four of my charries. XD ))
