King took off, snorting as he ran. He loved the barrels. He spun around them and charged to the next.

Tina just sat there, letting him do the work. She moved around to help him stay balanced, but for the most part, did nothing

On the way back up, King threw a little buck, out of the plain joy of running. He turned right before he hit the fence and ran around the ring, going faster.

[Springsteen]

Tina pulled back on the reins, trying to slow him down a bit, "Easy boy." she said, "Easy."

He pulled his head down, and didn't slow right away. He wanted to run.

[Springsteen]

Tina pulled back harder, "Easy." she said, a little more ruffly

King tossed his head uncomfortably, and kicked out again.
"Try to hold on his mouth, then release!" Nick called.

[Springsteen]

Tina nodded and did what Nick told her to, "Easy boy." she said in a calm, soothing tone

It took a few minutes, but finally, King slowly to a walk, breathing heavily.

Tina let him walked and smiled, "Good boy." she said, patting his neck
