"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

I'm confused. On the advent list, I saw a little thing that said "If a pet is in the same group, that means its worth the same"
But I have the Blue snowflake Scarf dog, but next to it, I saw the Fireworks PPS. But how does those equal? The scarf dog is a rare, and the PPS is a VR. If they are fair, if I sent someone with the Scarf Dog, asking for the PPS, would they accept? (If they wanted to.) Or any other pet in that same group. They are all very rare. Or most of them. An advent rare asking for a very rare in that same group is worth the same??? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm confused. Sorry this has been asked before or if I'm spamming this thread/topic.

You have to remember that the scarf dog is in fact an 08 advent (Which makes them popular and more rare, only being released one day), and the firework pps is a 09 dog. It was released a whole month and available for everybody to adopt. The scarf dog also has been released more often then the pps. Oh, and the scarf dog will go very rare eventually C:

If people wanted to swap, then yes, it's fair. Swaps have happened, at least that's what i've heard.

Hmm, that's where I get a bit lost. Weren't they released on the same day? And even if they weren't, wouldn't the same amount of people have adopted them?

It's a bit like the Sun litter.

They were released on the same day, yes.
People would've adopted them, yes.
Are they the same rarity? No.

The Sunjewel, for example, is the rarest (alongside with the UR tiger) pet on CS, whereas the Sunback is 10 or so pets lower, and the Nonjewel 2 or 3 pets lower. Do you see why now?

So it's like an outcome thing? Even now we have "rares" of a litter, such as this month's Lynx PPS or April Fools's Butterdog. But Advents don't have litters, or do they? I joined past the 25th, so I wouldn't know how the CS Advent season works, but this is how it seems. If the Advent pets come in like a box and it's like a normal month's adoptions with all the different outcomes, then I completely understand.

Yes, the advents come in boxes with a couple of different outcomes =3 Rarities works exactly like regular adoptables.

Ohhhh, and then it's just basic Nick statistics that bring the rarity onward from there, I suppose. Thanks for enlightening me, it's always great to learn more about CS! c:

The rose PPS is the rarest September 08 pet =3 It turned very rare long before any of the other dogs did.
