The white fox was hiding behing a couple of bramble bushes, looking at the two cats. Do they really think they can invade our territory, hunt our prey and then just go? She growled, her fur bristling.

Shadow lifted her head and opened her mouth to smell the air.Then she turned and gave her sleek black fur a few licks."Ok, your right", she mewed.Though, her aqua eyes still looked worried.

Redmoon smiled. "That's wonderful!" he purred to Frosty. "The clan will be glad to have you!" He turned to Kayla and mewed," I'm sure the nursery would have a spot for you before you become an apprentice."

"W-what's an apprentice? A-and where's the nursery?" I mewed quietly. "A-and why does everybody call themselves paw when they are over six moons until later? And why to the kittens have 'kit' at the end of their name? Will I have to change my name if I join?" I asked.

Talon shook her head. Shadow was always like that, nervous. Then suddenly, a white fox jumped on him. He rolled on his back and faced the fox, his fur bristling and his claws unsheated.

Whitepaw snarled, jumping onto the tabby tom. He tried to avoid her and the fox took a step back. "Go out of Leafclan's territory!" She growled.

Feather found herself peacefully laying down and sleeping in a patch of sunlight.When she opened her eyes she was in a meadow.A brown and grey fox was hobbling over to her.Her muzzle was tinged with white hairs."Greetings", the she fox said.Her voice rasped like sand paper.Feather dipped her cream colored head in respect."I'm Greyberry", the fox told her."I'm", Feather began but was cut off."I know",Greyberry rasped.She leaned in close to Feather so that the lean she-cat could smell her rank breath."Five are joined as one.Nothing will ever be the same.The guardians have come.They have the power to ruin the clans or save them.Anything can happen now.", she said.As Feather began to ask what that meant Greyberry faded until her scent was blow away by the swift breeze.Feather jumped up.Fully alert from her dream."Redmoon!", she called skidding into the medicine cat den.Her eyes were huge and her fur was ruffled.

She curled in her nest and closed her eyes. But suddenly she opened them again, something had hanged. She was now in a large meadow, surrounded by tall trees. The ground beneath her paws was covered with soft grass and a red, long-legged fox was standing in front of her. "Welcome young one. I'm Redstar, the first fox leader of LeafClan. Don't worry, you're still alive, in fact you are dreaming." Whitepaw was going to say something, but the red fox stopped her with a flick of her bushy tail. "Now listen to me."

Five are joined as one.Nothing will ever be the same.The guardians have come.They have the power to ruin the clans or save them.Anything can happen now.

"What does it mean?" The apprentice asked. But no answer come. Foxstar was not there.
Suddenly she woke up in her nest, panting. Was it a dream from StarClan?
