Avery
“Yes, I do realize that,” Avery said brushing her long bangs out of her eyes quickly. She watched him curiously as he never made eye contact with him, though she easily figured out it was for a different reason than she had. She eyed the cards he was shuffling in his hands but decided not to ask. That was one thing she hated about herself. Being raised with more than one brother and being ignored by her father gave her plenty of time to watch her brother’s and their friends during their nightly parties over the summer so she had gotten quite a good grasp on when to be quite and when to talk which wasn’t that hard for her. The card that Aden held up to her frightened her ever so slightly. She hadn’t met any ghost who’d been decapitated yet but with the news saying there were quite a few who had been killed that way in a few states over from her home-town.
The weird thing with Avery’s power is that if a ghost really felt clever they could talk to her from miles upon miles from where they were buried, but most tended to stay close to their graves. It was a matter she never took up with them not wanting a ghost mad at her. When she was younger her brothers loved the ghost shows on TV and made her watch them all the time; never scaring her that bad which made them mad and confused. She’d seen things that ghost’s did when they were made and although she knew she couldn’t stop it, she’d rather not have a ghost throwing books at her in the middle of the night or following her everywhere she went.
She had met quite a few of “odd-looking people” according to her brothers so that was how she could tell he was waiting for her to question his appearance but she just shrugged it off. She could care less how anyone looked. It was whether or not they talked to her that always set her off. He had literally appeared out of thin air so, swallowing all her shyness she asked him; “What’s your power?” She wasn’t one to get into lengthy conversations ever; not even with her brother’s. Conversation’s always seemed awkward or pointless to her so she never would carry on one. It also depended on the person. She wasn’t one to hold grudges so most people were surprised when she never did anything or fought back when they teased her; just let it go a lesson she’d learned early enough in life. Avery shivered suddenly her jacket was water-proof, not meant for cold weather, so she slipped it off, laying it on her arm even though it was still wet.

Aden watched Avery's minimal reaction towards the drawing of the ghost card. Anyone else would have been a little more freaked out about it and would have said something like 'you weirdo.' Avery did seem very minimalistic in her every action, not really reacting more than a little jump when he appeared from thin air, and no question raised at how he knew about the ghosts. She just seemed interested in his powers, which Aden found odd. Alright powers were interesting, but he could think of questions that most others would have thought of to be polite. So Aden asked the question just to be polite.
You know? That one question."What's your name?"
That's the general conversation beginner when it comes to introductions, sure Aden had headed a little off topic with the necromancy card, but at the rate this conversation was going they were going to end up finding everything about the other person except their name.
He didn't really want to answer Avery's question. In all honesty it made him feel a little put out by the demand that she wanted to know his power right now.
He watched her pull off her jacket and hang it on her arm, knowing that the movement was going to make her even colder. Even if you have freezing wet clothes on, if you were cold, you'd keep the clothes on since they kept in body heat. Aden had never met someone who'd jumped into the Artic and survived by taking clothes off. If you wanted to keep warm, fabric, no matter if it was wet, kept body heat in.

(One of your charries could bump into Jay?)
Avery
Avery watched him closely and then began to play with the zipper of her jacket. She'd taken her locket off before she had left her room not wanting it to become damaged so she had nothing else to play with. When she became nervous or shy she always had her necklace to play with but not this time. She could tell that Aden had merely asked the question to be polite so being raised with some-what decent manners, keep in mind she had four brothers and no mother, she knew not to ignore the answer. So, mustering up all the courage she could she answered, "Avery." Introductions were almost as far as Avery ever got in a conversation with a normal person but she kept in mind he wasn't exactly normal; none of them here were.
Avery let her mind wander about while she waited for an answer. She began to question the word normal. Normal was a very over-used word and had millions of different meanings for every different person. Her normal was staying in the back and keeping quiet while normal for others could be causing drama, acting up, always getting in trouble... well you get the point. She tucked her bangs which had somehow managed to fall down from her pony-tail, no surprise, behind her ear carefully her fingers brushing against the small yellow tattoo of a star, her hair hiding the tattoo quickly. She sighed quietly, looking around the guy’s lounge. She felt a sudden gust of cold air once more and sighed again. She folded her jacket up and set it down on the table-top of the smoothie-bar.
