On the topic of lines, HOW do you get them to come out so smooth?! Mine always turn out rather sketchy.

O_O I didn't even do lineart for this. I made an extremely messy sketch and then erased a tooooon. They really arent smooth at all if you look at them without the colors and shading.

@Bel(right?) - Thank yoouuuu. The shading on this was really difficult, cause he had to have all that super shiny-ness cos of the breed of horse he is.
And you can too draw dragons. Much better than me. ;^; One thing, though, is that I feel like his head and neck should be larger?

I like the dragon.. although one thing, the wings don't look connected to the body at all.

That's because one isn't. If you look closely, you'll see an X where the wing should start so you can see the body. It's often done on refs. c:

It was a certain species for someone; and they wanted the body to be slightly bigger XD
built more for strength and speed I believe.

@ Ivalynfyre, then any suggestions how I could fix it? or unless you were talking about what Nex was saying XD;;

Hi! Im drawing this for an art comp but.... I need a redline help with the lower legs. Its a wyvern (just wings and backlegs) <-- people get confused to what it is :-p

Tomi- it looks really good! Though you should bring the front wing feathers down so it wont look like its twisted behind with the other one.

Toki and/or Bel (can't tell you two apart anymore), that's a really nice dragon. I love the big feathered wings. The eyes are really pretty too. The thighs seem a bit too large in comparison to the rest of the hind legs.
You can draw dragons, though. Don't doubt yourself so much. C:

Hmm, little sketchy I did yesterday.. today at 2AM. Before I went to bed. I fixed a few things now and took a photo.
Excuse the bad quality. I'm at a friend right now and the lighting is a bit off here.

In case anyone wants to know, he's not my character. He belongs to a friend.
He's an ex-test subject and forced fighter. Hence all the scars. The scars on his eye was actually because someone ripped out his eye. (The same someone that later became his partner.) That's why his eye's so dark. It's fake. This was one of the first drawings I have of him after his major revamp. Why yes, I do revamp the looks of my friends' characters when needed. I'm already overly fond of other people's characters, but this one holds a special place in my heart. Just because he's changed and been developed so much. He went from a bland side-character to someone with a story and held back emotions. He's actually one of the sweetest and most polite people in the story.
