Jay gave his pelt a second look over to make sure no debris had stayed on it. His fur was clumpy as usual, but, strangely, it didn't give him a ragged appearance at all. Regardless, Jay was very sensitive about his coat, and he mde sure to keep it as clean as possible. Spotting a leaf on his shoulder, he twisted his neck and stuck out his tongue, licking at the shoulder and catching the leaf on it. He spat it out as he turned back around.

Suddenly a fresh scent wafted into the camp. Immediately he pricked his ears and attempting to find a sound to connect with the smell. But, seconds after noting the scent, he realized it belonged to his alpha. Jay prepared to get into a submissive stance for when he entered camp.

The dark fae's head swung back as she smelled the scent of another creature. Not any prey but another wolf. She carefully began padding back to camp but stopped as she saw a buck and 2 other faes. Would she go back to camp or would she take the prey. A chance not given often in the rising mountain pack.

Tenshi crouched down and prepared to stalk her prey. She growled softly and then watched carefully for a weak or hurt one. Buck was out of question since its antlers were extremely sharp. But both faes were very healthy. Tenshi sighed and crouched down, picking out a single fae as she did so. She leapt out of the bush and ran at the bigger fae. But she quickly got intercepted as the buck charged her. She slid to the side, the buck's antlers barely missing her side. Tenshi bared her white teeth at the buck but got no flinch from the male deer. She thought for a brief moment and decided to attempt to get the buck at least a bit hurt. Tenshi ran away from the group for a few seconds, pretending to be not interested anymore. But when she got to the side of the buck, the black wolf ran and clawed the buck. Leaving the buck hurt and on the ground she ran back to camp, attempting to get more wolves to help take out the herd for more food.

The "Angel of Darkness" sprinted back to camp but immediately stopped in her tracks as she saw the leader. She lowered her head and laid her ears back in respect. Tenshi stood up in a submissive position and focus her eyes onto the leader. " Permission to address alpha?" She asked, hoping to be able to speak to the alpha.

A second wolf scent drifted into camp and Jay got up from his submissive crouch, eyes widening and ears shooting up. Shortly after, a voice followed the scent. It was the voice of a fae and it was asking to address the alpha. In a moment Jay recognized the voice. Tenshi. Curiosity sparked in his mind. What did she need to speak to the alpha for. Another deep sniff helped him to figure it out. Deer. He could smell it on her, though faintly. Immediately his mouth began to water. Deer was delicious. Tenshi was probably asking to get wolves for a hunt. Tail wagging, he trotted towards the two wolf scents.

A hunt was an excellent way to prove that he'd make a great beta wolf. Jay wanted to be a beta so badly. Just being a member of such an amazing pack was an honor in itself but in his subordinate position his ranking earned him no extra respect. It didn't make his fellow packmembers listen to him when he notified them that they were going against a rule. That was probably the most frustrating part of it all. If he was beta, they'd have to listen. They'd have to and they would. He almost let out an annoyed whine. Shaking his head to clear it, he went back to listening. There was no rule that said he couldn't.

Hearing the soft voice of fae asking for his permission to speak, the ivory brute looked to the submissive fae and nodded. "Permission granted. What is it." The tone in his voice wasn't one of much emotion, more like monotone then that of true meaning. It kind of showed his personality as being a careless brute.

Hawk's black nose twitched slightly at the scent of deer rising off the black pelted fae's body. He wondered if this was so she could go hunting with the back up of the pack. At first the brute thought she may have went to the Cherry Valley's pack lands to hunt dear but he didn't jump to conclusion unless they were to be true.

He waited for Tenshi's words to enter his alert ears.

The scent of the other wolves in the pack entered into the fae's nose. She figured they were awake now and moving about doing whatever fit their interests. She didn't have a problem with this as she acknowledged the fact every wolf is different in their own way and did things that fit their desires.

Lotus opened one of her eye, letting it roam around the pack camp grounds to see who was moving around and how many other's were still either asleep or out in the rest of cherry valley's land. { Wb here > < }

Though the other two wolves would most likely already know, Tenshi began speaking. " I found a very small herd that was grazing in our territory." She paused for a moment, her head turning from Jay to Hawk. " I managed to weaken the buck but he has very large antlers. " Tenshi pointed her snout at the direction of where she injured the buck. " I ask of permission to kill the herd or a part of the herd and I wish for backup as I do so." She stated, looking back to her leader.

If they did kill the whole herd then they would ruin their chances of getting more deer. But if they didn't, they would starve. So what would they do, thought Tenshi. Tenshi could just hope that their leader would pick better choice, though of course he would.

Impossible walked out from the den and saw a group of wolves speaking. The alpha and some others. He carefully began walking towards them. His furry body almost to the ground, ears back and his head down a bit. He was a much lower rank than any of them, especially the alpha. The brute raised his nose up to the sky as he smelt something. The deer scent from Tenshi's coat. Finally, some food. He thought as he began panting at the thought.

Hawk listened to what the fae had to say before speaking of another alternative to this plan. He thought for a second about this very idea before stating it as he didn't want it to get confusing. "Instead of kill the whole herd, we should pick out two of the deer to kill instead. I'm sure that the others will come back to the location their lead buck and one doe have been hunted to pay their respects to the lose. I believe we can easily take down the injured buck but the doe's will flee. When that happens, one of us will have to herd them back towards the other three as we quickly kill the buck. Once we've done that pick the smallest doe and take her down, leaving the rest to flee for now. The two deer should keep us feed for a good amount of weeks."

The ivory brute looked to Tenshi and Jay with a rather placid expression before shaking his pelt and moving around the black furred fae. "Let's get moving before we lose our change to carry out the hunt." Hawk was had a very strong mind when it came to hunting or fighting. What he lacked in full reasoning he made up for in straige that required brutal strength of the pack. This is what made him a good wolf to rely on in fights or hunting parties. However, he wasn't the strongest mind in giving advice or praising another for their hard work. That was something his sister, Lotus, was better suited in. She did also have more strength in the departments of fighting and hunting but just a bit less than the brute.

Tenshi nodded and began padding along with Hawk but stopped in her tracks. " But there is the problem that I only saw 2 does and one buck..." She said quietly, feeling embarrassed that she didn't mention it. Tenshi thought for a moment as she connected the dots. " That means there will only be one doe left." The fae continued on walking since Hawk seemed very serious about the hunt, not that he didn't seem serious all the time.

The dark fae's head hung down as she began following her faint tracks to the the place where the buck lay. Her head swung up as she smelt the blood from the buck. Her light purple eyes grew small as she squinted to see the buck in the distance.

Impossible watched the other three wolves with wide eyes. He was going to go on a hunt with subordinates and the alpha? Just the thought made Impossible excited. Maybe he could rise back up and become a subordinate again. The brute's tail wagged furiously as he jogged along with the other members of the hunting party.

He had never hunted with others. Usually just taking a small bite from the old prey that the other wolves in the pack had brought. Thought sometimes he did hunt small things like rabbits and other rodents. But taking down a deer? This was a new achievement for him, a big one at that. " This is going to be fun..." He murmured quietly to himself.

Trotting still through the grass the faint scent of blood reached her snout and made it twitch in interest. Her eyes glided across the terrain, moving her head in the direction of the delectable smell. Her ears flicked gently in thought. Other wolves would have smelled it by now...should I risk an investigation? It took her a moment to come up with a decision and soon she was loping towards the smell hoping to find an easy meal that would fill her stomach. And that was also not overrun by other wolves or predators. Her nose twitched as she followed the scent that grew stronger and stronger. She'd be on whatever it was within a few minutes. Her pace slowed to a slow lope as she crossed into Rising Mountain territory. She'd have to be extra careful around here.
The sound of a herd drew in Alias' attention. It was distant but not terribly so. Saliva built up in her mouth as she imagined the taste of freshly killed deer. It would be a nice change from the carcasses she had been living off of the past few weeks. Her red and black body slowed further into a meer creep before stopping in the cover of the shadows. Her amber eyes picked away at the herd figuring out which one of them was hurt. They landed on a large buck and her heart plummeted. No way was she going to be able to take down a buck even if it was injured. Another scent put Alias on edge and snapped her mind away from the disappointing find. Wolves. She took a step back to recede further into the shadows hoping it would be enough to keep her from view until she was ready to leave and then an idea presented herself. Maybe these wolves she smelled were going after the injured buck. If they were then maybe just maybe she'd be able to pick food off of them without being noticed. It was a slim chance but one worth taking in her mind. With the decision made she hunkered down and waited to see what happened.

The sight of the alpha resting a short distance off was one of the first things to greet Fade's eyes. His tail instinctively lowered to hang behind him limply and his ears drew back a little. The body language of a lower ranking wolf. He wondered if anything was set to happen today but doubt inched into his mind. He'd likely have to find his own way to occupy his mind. Of course that would be easy considering he found entertainment in even the dullest of things. The white brute quietly made his way passed the resting alpha as not to disturb her and made his way into the trees where it'd be easier to find a pass time. The chirping of birds ceased as the distinguishable white form passed underneath, instead replaced by alaarm calls warning anything within hearing range that the predator was near. Fade ignored it though. He wasn't hunting so therefore didn't need to go unnoticed. The tip of his left earbounced gently up and down as he trotted on, looking almost funny on the male. The sound of water peeked interest in Fade and his pawsteps didn't even falter as he changed direction. He arrived at a small stream soon and lowered his head to drink at the cool, flowing liquid.
