In Love and War (1x1 Kat and Hornz)

Staring at the wall, Light continued to try to make sense of what just happened. Did he seriously just have a meaningful conversation over an innercom in his house with the person who suspected he was Kira? ....It had to be a trick. It just had to.

L quickly downed the medicine. He frowned. Alright, time to attempt to make sense of this...

[Hornz]

Rolling onto his back, Light stared at the ceiling. No matter how much he thought about why L had said any of that stuff to him. Settling for his being a trick, he closed his eyes contently.

L blinked tiredly. No.No no no no no no. Don't fall asleep. You need to stay awake to work on the case, d*** it! He actually fell asleep for the first time this week.

[Hornz]

Before another question enetered Light's head — the main on being, "Was this all an elaborate trick?" — he found himself asleep.

The next day, Light woke up more tired than usual. He woke up one too many times in the middle of the night, and when he was sleeping, all he did was wonder if he was going to get arrested sometime soon. Great. Now he's screwing with my brain. Lovely.

L woke up at about 2 am, and stayed awake flipping through case files until the rest of the task force arrived. Even Matsuda could seem the obvious hostility between L and the Chief.

[Hornz]

Light sat on the edge of his bed, a dull headache forming at the thought of having to go to school and thoughts of the previous day. I'm staying here and saying that I'm sick. No one can stop me.

Several task force members whispered to each other nervously. "What's up with L and the Chief...?"
