Applesong purred as he named each kit. "Those are beautiful names" The queen mewed, seeing how each name fitted each kit. "Archkit, Sootkit, Rowankit, Owlkit, and Lightkit." She mewed, licking each kit on the head as she said it's name. "They are all so beautiful, and they look like they will be strong warriors." Pride filled her voice.

He purred and licked Applesong's cheek. Despite their small size and early coming, they did all seem fine and healthy and he couldnt be happier. "Ill be right back," he promised and jumped up onto the highest branch overhanging camp, calling, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a Clan meeting." Today would be very eventful. His Clanmates were each a moon older and there were a lot of ceremonies to be announced. He begun once he knew everyone had gathered. "Applesong has given birth to five healthy kits. Lightkit, Archkit, Sootkit, Rowankit and Owlkit." he smiled with pride until the murmurs had died down. Then, he added, "This is a great day for TimberClan. Three apprentices are ready to become warriors and three kits apprentices. Breezepaw, Flamepaw and Seapaw please step forward."

Sprucepaw poked her head out of the den as she heard Spiderstar's call. She shook the herb dust off her paws and pricked her ears to listen. Delight filled her as he announced the names of the kits, the kits she had helped to deliver. They had wonderful names. Sprucepaw's tail flicked as she heard him call the apprentices forward. She wondered often what it was like to be a warrior apprentice. She had no envy, though. She was perfectly content with her status--she loved it.

Raccoonstrike sat down in the camp's clearing. A new litter of kits! And new warriors and apprentices too. They would have to expand the dens soon if they were to keep up with all the cats now. He smiled slightly as he listened, delighted at the happy news. He curled his tail around his paws, glancing to the cat next to him--Desertbloom, how coincidental--and blinked happily. "The Clan is thriving." He murmured, to no one in particular.

She glanced at Raccoonstrike for just a moment, beaming with pride as her son, Seapaw, approached her half brother, Spiderstar, for his warrior ceremony. She knew she didn't seem to show it often, but she really was proud of Seapaw. "Yes we are," she said. "I'm glad Seapaw has been out of the nursery for six moons because I don't think I could handle over ten kits and four other queens in one den! Well have to expand the nursery tomorrow or Patchface and Applesong will never be able to keep their kits inside in a moon," she pointed out.

When someone picked him up, Dusk struggled for a second. He then felt a lick and a calm purr. This meant his mother was carrying him, which was fine. He then heard her talking to his father. "Claw, what if I tore this clan apart from the inside out. Tigerstripe hasn't been back yet, an Dwë don't know what he's doing. I could claim to be his sister," She had suggested. He squirmed when he heard about all these lies.

Wiseheart shook her head. "Oh, no. It's no trouble at all! I could make you one. After all, you need your rest!" she meowed kindly and stood up slowly so Tigerstripe wouldn't fall from leaning on her. "I could fetch you some moss and we could make it." Wiseheart didn't mind making him a nest. She didn't want to make him use up his engery while he could be resting. He should be resting. He's hurt after all! I won't let him make a nest all by himself!

Applesong

Applesong listened Spiderstar from the nursery, for she didn't want to disturb the kits. Feeling proud when he announced their kits. The clan was growing so fast. It was amazing how much progress has been made since Timberclan was created and it seems like it will only get stronger. With a slight smile, she let herself rest. The queen was still tired from the kitting.

Lightkit

It only took Lightkit a couple heartbeats to follow the sweat scent of milk and find a place to suckle. Enjoying the warmth coming from her mother and her littermates. After a few moments, she was full. Letting out a tiny yawn, Lightkit tried to fall asleep. But it wasn't easy with her littermates moving. She moved her small legs, trying to get away from then. It didn't take long before teeth gently grabed her scruff, and Lightkit was pulled back to her mother's belly with her littermates.
