Kitayla laid down in bed and started trying to get to sleep. She sighed when she couldn't and just stared up at the ceiling. Rowan was peacefully asleep. She didn't move that often, just a little twitch here and there as she dreams of random things.

Richard made his way from the dining hall to his room, running into one of his knights. He stumbled over slightly "My boy! Heading to your sleeping quarters as well?" He said warmly as he made his way to his room still, tiredness taking him over. He was expecting a brief yes from the boy, so he didn't stop to chat.

Kitayla finally fell asleep curled up on her side and her back facing the door. She was was almost completely motionless except for the slow rise and fall of her chest. And she twitched a little from ramdom dreams that would only last a minute. Rowan was still sleeping very peacefully.

"O-Oh! My liege, I'm sorry. Actually I was just looking for you. I know you're tired, but may I have, uh, a word with you, if you aren't too tired?" Tobias asked tentatively. Suddenly his confidence was gone, and he was actually fearful of what the king's opinion would be.

Richard looked back at his knight and nodded. "Of course," He said and moved to stand in front of him. "What is it?" He looked at him, slightly amused.

Tobias stood taller, squaring his shoulders as he made himself look more proper. "I've heard rumors, sir," he said. "Rumors that one of the knights, well, was interested in your daughter and wanted to marry her. But not for the throne, because he loves her. And I know this knight very well, he's honest and wouldn't dare do her wrong. He wanted to know your opinion."

Richard looked at him solemnly, his hand placed at chest level and gripping onto a robe. He looked to the ground before looking back up to the knight. "For the sake of the knight i will not ask his name." He looked Tobias in the eyes. "I wouldn't mind to see my daughter happy with someone that loves her, there aren't many princes that travel here to claim her as their own. My son, Jasper, will take on the throne when i die. Kit will aid him, i only hope that the knight will not die in battle or leave her and leave my poor daughter to live in misery." As he finished the last few words a dullness came to his eyes, thinking about his lovely daughter being depressed was not a nice thought. "Besides, i'd like a son in law." He joked and chuckled softly. "Does that answer your question Tobias?" He said.

Tobias could hear his heart racing in his ears as he listened to the king talk. At his last words, though, his deep brown eyes lit up happily. "Yes sir, it does," he replied. "Thank you for your time, my liege," Tobias bowed.

Richard saw his eyes light up and he smiled "Your welcome." He said and walked towards his room "Treat her well." He said over his shoulder. He turned away and faced forward, grinning softly as he made a turn to go down a corridor to his room to get a well earned rest.

Tobias froze, watching the king as he walked away. As soon as he was gone, Tobias broke into a wide grin and made his way lazily to Kit's room. Slowly entering, he shut the door softly and crept inside, quietly taking off his armor and putting on the extra clothes he kept hidden within the princess' bedroom. Seeing the necklace on the bedside table he smiled, placing the carving blade beside it. He then slowly crept around and sat on the side of the bed. He stared at the princess for a long moment, brushing a portion of hair behind her ear.
