If you happened to be a boring old human, you'd find Alexandria to be one of three things. The first was irritating. Alexandria had the sort of personality that would easily get on your nerves. She seems to have the personality which makes other people believe that she sees herself as better than everyone else and that she holds herself in the highest of regard. This is untrue, since she doesn't believe her life is perfect, she believes that it's a rather intense emotional rollercoaster caused by a terrible childhood.

The second thing you'd find Alexandria to be would be absolutely weird. Not just a bit weird, but completely. The children at the last orphanage she was at enjoyed making fun of the girl who talked to herself and had the strangest of habits such as actually arguing with thin air. This was mostly down to Alexandria talking to the invisible-to-everyone-except-Alexandria-demon who tended to find the worst times to wind the girl up.

The third thing would be impossibly creepy. She seemed to have a habit of appearing out of thin air. Of course these were her powers, and Alexandria had found it amusing to tease the other kids.

With a sigh, Alexandria got out of the car that had just pulled up outside the school. 'Oh very classy...' Lexina (the demon that Alex had made up and blamed for everything) commented in her head. Alexandria frowned as she pulled her two bags from the car. 'Makes you wonder who's funding this place... And why.'

She frowned slightly. There had to be a double motive behind the making of the Academy, there had to be a reason didn’t there? She believed that there might be a ulterior reason... Like crime fighting (she’d probably been watching too many action movies). Or perhaps she was being paranoid.
Most likely the second option.
She pushed green hair out of her eyes and headed off down the path towards the school.

- A D E N - C A U S E - N U R A N -
Aden Cause Nuran, a boy named by ridiculous parents, was the next one through the school's doors. He stepped out of the way of the doors, trying not to get in the way of the mass gathering of people in the front area. A large crowd of people was just incredibly interesting to Aden, he could see all the different possible consequences for whatever was currently going on. It was like seeing into the future, only Aden could see thousands of different versions of the future.

He scratched at the back of his neck for a moment, where the tattoo of an ankh was covered by long blonde hair. Aden had three distinguishing marks, the tattoo on the back of his neck was one, an Egyptian symbol for life. There was a cross on the back of his hand, a rather complex design that had taken hours. There was also a crude curved scar running across his left cheek.

Aden was incredibly childish and restless too, and was currently shuffling cards in his hands. He liked to be constantly occupied with something. Just out of habit.
He slipped over one of the cards; they weren’t an average deck of cards. They were more like tarot cards. The fronts of the cards were embellished with interesting pictures and words. He glanced at the card, though he already knew the outcome, and a smirk rose on his face. The word doom was written around the edge of the card over and over and a dark hooded figure stood in the middle. How foreboding.

With a yawn he headed off to find his dorm, which was a simple matter of disappearing, passing through the dimension he watched earth through and reappearing a few seconds later in his dorm. Simple.

Jay

After his shower Jay found it surprisingly warm in his room. He was amazed at how fast the heater had kicked in. Once he had time to look around his entire room he found out that it had clearly been years since it had ever been used. The thought kind of frightened him a tad as he walked around the room looking over everything. There was one bed pushed off into a corner near the door where he had put his two suitcases with a night-stand next to it and then there was a bunk-bed on the opposite side of the room near the bathroom. There was a coffee table in the middle of the room along with a couch pushed off underneath two huge windows. There was a closet near the bathroom and a shelf above the closet that had clearly been cleaned up in a hurry who-ever had been here before. There was a small dresser like thing that had a TV ontop of it in front of the couch and coffee table along with a mini-fridge. He opened up the closet and looked inside. It was just like any normal closet with sliding doors except there was a dresser in there. He shrugged it off and decided to put his clothes away.

He walked over to the bed in the corner and grabbed his duffle-bag walking back to the closet. He was slightly surprised to see that there was also a light in there that turned on when you opened the closet doors. He pulled open the six dresser drawers and started to put his clothes away. Once he had finished with that he ran his hands along the upper shelf of the closet and found a letter in scrawled handwriting that had clearly been written and folded fast. He unfolded the letter and read it silently to himself:

This place is not what you think. Get out now before you fall under the lady's spell...

Jay folded up the letter and stuck it in his pocket before he closed all of the dresser drawers and the closet doors before he turned around and jumped slightly. There was the old lady standing there in the middle of his room, speculating everything. He cleared his throat, his heart still pounding slightly. He wouldn't be surprised if she could hear it herself. "I did knock," she said in her raspy voice. Jay nodded, probing into her mind but was surprised when he couldn't find anything. The lady laughed and smiled her fake smile, sending chills down Jay's spine. There was something off about this lady that really creeped him out. Within the two encounters he's had with her, whenever he's around her he become mad for some odd reason. Maybe it's just her vibe he thought to himself keeping a good distance between him and her.

(I'll add Avery's in a minute.)

~River Cross~
River had her two bags, one in each hand, walking quickly up the sidewalk leading to the girls dorm. She kept her head lowered, one to keep rain from her face, and two to avoide the old lady. She seemed occupied though, chatting another student's ear off, and with her mind slightly opened, she could feel the emotion emmiting from them. Great annoyance. She didn't look up to see who the person was, just kept walking down the path as their mind faded from hers. Approaching the dorm, she pushed the door open with her shoulder and suppressed a squeak at the sudden coldness. She shivered slightly, kicking the door shut behind her, and headed down the hall in search of a door that said three. Coming across it, she set one of her bags down and fished out a key from the jacket she wore, which stuck to her skin from the down pour. She hadn't even been outside long, yet she was soaked to the skin. Her fingers closed around the key, and she pulled it out, clicking it into the doorknob. She opened the door, glancing sideways at the main doors as someone opened them. Not exactly wanting to talk to anyone, she pushed her dorm in while pushing the bag on the floor with her foot into the room.
River closed the door behind her, continuing to push her one bag across the floor to a bed nearest to the window. She sighed quietly, setting the key onto the sidetable. She didn't really want to be there, but she didn't want to accidentally harm anyone else like she had her brother. It wasn't a big one, but he had no idea why he had a sudden pain in his head then a nose bleed. She shook her head, ridding the image of her brother's frightened look that surfaced in her mind. She shoved her one bag under the bed, and took out a new simple set of clothes from the one in her hand. Taking those, she slipped into the bathroom to change.

What would you do to survive? If killing was the only option to live in the world falling apart, filled with infected. To get food, weapons, gear, anything and everything, your hands would be left unclean. What would you do?

Avery

Avery rummaged through her things with the small flash-light in her mouth. She was looking for her hair-brush and hopefully a hair tye. She'd towel-dried her hair the best that she could in the dark and most of it was fairly dry now. All she wanted to do was put her hair up into a pony-tail to keep it out of her face. She internally groaned when her flash-light started flickering and turned it off to save what little of the battery was left. She sat down on the floor and reached up in the dark to finger the necklace around her neck, running her hands over the smooth surface of the locket. Avery couldn't figure out what was in the locket yet. It was more of a promise gift her only friend had given her before she left. She wanted to open the locket terribly but felt as though if there was something very breakable inside, smashing the locket would break the thing inside too. Her stomach did butterflies she thought about opening the locket. She wasn't sure why she got nervous all of a sudden, but she did and it scared her a little bit. Avery walked into the bathroom and turned on the light, dragging her suitcase with her. She had on a blue tank-top and soft shorts, but the room had gotten cold again. She changed into black sweat-pants and a light grey sweater. After she had found her hairbrush, she took the hair tye off of the handle and brushed her hair, pulling it up into a pony-tail. She folded up her soft-shorts and placed them back into her suit-case zipping up the duffle-bag. She sighed, turning off the light and walked blindly into the room, bumping into something hard and rough. She leaned down and rubbed her shin before she said down on the floor, deciding it was the safesting thing for her. She broke her wrist once when she fell down half a flight of stairs.

Once the pain subsided in her shin she carefully stood up once more and fumbled her way towards the door, opening the door the light flooded the pitch-black room. She walked out into the light, shutting the door behind her. It took her a while before her eyes could adjust to the light and she took the time to completely look at the hallways. She hadn't really looked at anything in her rush to get inside out of the rain, the in her rush to get out of the cold. She walked down the hallways until she found a smoothie-bar in the lounge. She sighed, sitting down on the couch. She leaned over, turning on the TV and the news instantly flashed up many thugs in jail then a vidoe and familair face flipped on for a mere before going to the weather. Her hand reached up and touched the locket instinctively. No, if he was dead I'd be able to communicate she thought. "Fight Charlie," she whispered lowly knowing that there would be no way on earth that he could hear her from over 1,000 miles away and a whole different dimention and it killed her. If she was back home, she'd be at the hospital in minutes but she knew that was out of option here. Avery sighed, letting it out through her clenched teeth. She hadn't known it at the time, but her hands were clenched in fists and she was shaking in anger. Within seconds she'd controlled her temper and let it roll away. At the time she didn't know it but the three thugs that flashed up on the screen would haunt her for two long years unless she found a way to escape this Realm.

Avery brushed her bangs from her eyes. She desperatly needed a bobby-pin. She wasn't one for fixing up her hair all fancy but pony-tails and the occasional bun never killed her, though her bangs were a pain if she didn't wear her hair down. She stood up and walked back to her room, leaving the door open so she could search for her rain-coat. Once she found her coat, she slipped her arms into it and zipped it up, pulling up the hood. She left her room, shutting the door securely after her. Making sure her key was in her pocket she exited through the door and walked along the paths. Her choice of clothing was better than earliers and although it was still raining, the rain had slowed to a slight drizzle now. All she had to deal with were the terrible deep puddles everywhere. She skirted a few, and the few she absolutly had to cross, she crossed slowly so she wouldn't be soaked. She quickened her pace, searching for the old lady who ran this place. While she was out looking for her, she saw a few sturdy trees and kept a mental note of where they were found for later on. Their were few dead out tonight because of the weather, so she wouldn't have to constantly keep her guard block up which gave her terrible headaches. She sometimes tried telling them to be quite, but little kids naturally never listened. Music sometimes helped her block them out, but not all the time. She had learned that by getting Jay to read their thoughts and past she could find what they liked to do in their previous life and she would do that thing which almost always got them to cooperate. There was a small boy she liked in particular back in her home-town. The boy had died years ago at the age of four from some sort of lung disease that spread through-out her home-town wiping it all out many years ago.

She liked the small boy particullary because he actually listened to her. Once she had sat in school and never noticed that she had skipped lunch and gym entirely because she'd been talking to him through her mind. He did have a small problem with talking as he was only four and didn't learn how to speak properly so she tried to help him but failed pretty bad. Avery brought herself out of her thoughts and decided to check the boys dorm after she'd searched the entire campus. Her feet were killing her, but she was determined to find the old lady. She opened the door and walked into the dorm walking slowly down the hall-way's being almost as silent as a ghost. (hehe see what I did there? =P) She knocked on a few vacant doors, skipping the few that were occupied. She walked down the hall-ways and found their lobby. There was a guy working at the smoothie bar and she decided that she'd put away her social awkwardness and talk to him. She approached the guy slowly, unzipping her jacket and folded it over her left arm. "Um excuse me?" she asked softly. "Have you seen the lady who owns this place? Your boss?" she asked, and nearly screamed when the guy turned his head. Half of his face was scarred terribly and it was only then did she realize he wasn't alive. She groaned, letting her shoulders fall. Come on Avery! I've got to be really tired or utterly stupid she thought angrily to herself.

(Longest post ever! *Feels slightly proud* This is what happens when I'm bored =P The post grows and grows from mere two short paragraphs to this xD)

- A D E N - C A U S E - N U R A N -

Being able to see every consequence of everything happening around you tends to be a useful skill most of the time. It was what led Aden to cross dimensions to appear next to Avery as if he'd just walked out of thin air. "You do realise, you're talking to thin air. Though I assume there's someone there to you which means you can see the dead." He yawned as he took a seat not far away on the edge of a table. He had a smirk on his face, one distorted by the scar that reached his lip and pulled it upwards. With a yawn he ran his fingers through his light blonde hair, it stuck up as if he'd stuck his fingers in a plug socket.

He returned his attention to Avery, never actually making proper eye contact with her since if someone happened to look into his eyes they would instantly see thousands upon thousands of different consequences for the actions they were doing. It was like looking into thousands of mirrors at the same time and all of them were reflecting the future. It was no wonder that Aden got distracted more than most, and resorted to messing about with things to keep himself from focusing too much on the future. Currently he was shuffling his signiture deck of cards, and when he flipped one over and showed it to Avery it was clear this was no normal deck of cards.

Each card was actually the same, but had the ability to change depending on the person it was directed at. The one Aden was holding up currently read 'Necromancy' in rather cursive script. The image of a headless person was behind the word, and it honestly looked as if the card had been drawn in blood. "I was right, you see the dead." He flipped the card over and returned it to the pack, shuffling it again as he waited for Avery to get over freaking out about his weird appearence.
