"Yeah," Jake says, still mumbling as they see the camp again.

Adam nodded. "Yea..."

Sammy rubs his back as they start heading back for camp.

[cosmiccreature]

Adam slowly wrapped an arm around her waist. "I should probably get some sleep after.."

[Patch.]

Sammy nods, smiling a bit. "I second that."

[cosmiccreature]

Adam forced a smile.

[Green Arrow]

Delilah bit her lip. "I feel so bad for you," she said sympathetically.

[Patch.]

Sammy shakes her head and, acting on impulse, jumps forward and just kisses Adam- hard and passionately. She put a lot behind the kiss: the hurt that Jake had tried to fight him, the sorry for holding back her past, the love she had for him.

Jake winces a bit. "Don't. I'll be okay."

Adam was caught off guard at first, but his eyes snapped shut and he placed a hand on the small of her back, his lips slightly less fierce, but understanding.

A tear escapes Sammy's eyes, but she keeps kissing him fiercely.
