Legolas is a brave and intelligent elf. He is incredibly agile and strong, and never talks much about himself. He cares a lot for his friends but sometimes doesn't talk with them so much,as they are all much younger than him. He can get angry very quickly and protects people that he likes.

History
Legolas grew up in Mirkwood. He is the heir, as he is the eldest son of Thranduil. He was well trained in how to defend himself, being especially good with the bow because of his good eyesight. He killed many giant spiders, and taught his younger sisters many things, including shooting, fighting with knives,about trees and tracking.He was sent to the war of the ring, and said he would look after his sisters, but his father refused. Legolas missed them a lot, but survived the war anyway. After that, he didn't want to return to Mirkwood so he stayed in Rivendell, to the disagreement of his father.

A shadow moved through the trees, observing the female elf that had just rode into Rivendell. He smiled slightly when he recognised her. It was Ellethwen, his sister.
Still walking through the trees, but paralel to the path, he followed silently. After a while he made his way towards her, and suddenly jumped out, dangerously in front of the horse.
"Well, well, who do we have here?" he asked, his head covered in a green elvish hood as he smiled faintly.
((Remember we were thinking about another elf that would be a bit like Elrond? Who would it be? If nobody wants to make one it could be Legolas, but I don't think it would fit with his personality, and I don't know all the details of the mission))

Ellethwen pulled Astalder quickly to a stop and looked at the newcomer for a minute, puzzled. Then she recognized his voice and leaped off Astalder towards him, her arms out. "Legolas, muindor! It has been far too long! I hope that your path has been fair since we last met?" The elf maiden looked fondly at her brother, brushing a piece of hair over his shoulder that had strayed out of place.

"Greetings, Ellethwen!" He grinned "You would not call the war fair, but I am here, well and alive. Come" he began walking to the entrance of the building, placing a hand on her shoulder. "So what have been the events in Mirkwood? I hope you and Lunaryn haven't been up to mischief" he smiled, but suddenly his expression grew serious.
"What have you come here for?" he said, turning around and looking at her in the eyes "You are not planning to be part of the order of the pendant, are you?" he sighed and rubbed his forehead " The war is terrible. It may be exciting to think of, but in the middle of the battle you suddenly realize that it is much wiser to stay in the forest, not to put your life in danger" he shook his head " Anyway, we may leave that conversation for other times.Now you must get rest, for you have travelled far from Mirkwood to here"

"I will rest soon, Legolas, but there is much to discuss first, things you have missed. Do you know if Luna is here? I much desire to speak with her. And yes, brother I do plan to join the Order. I have made my choice. If by my life or death I can aid this quest, I will. I have been far too sheltered by our father, you know that! I need to walk on my own path now." Ellethwen replied to her brother, her pleading eyes searching his brilliant blue ones. "Come, let us go inside and converse."

Legolas nodded, sighing. "And I will not stop you going on this quest. If you wish to go, I will not hold you back like our father did. But it is dangerous, and unpleasant, even for an elf" he entered a big room, pushing the door open. It was light inside, and there was a table covered with food "I am not sure if Luna has arrived yet, but if she has, she will find us soon"

Lunaryn walked slowly through the passages of Rivendell. Suddenly, she heard voices. She recognised one of them, it was Ellethwen. The other one was strangely familiar, but she couldn't quite remember who it was. She walked into the the room.
"Elle!" she exclaimed, running towards them "Who is thi...?... You!" she exclaimed recognising him "Legolas! wh.. what?" she turned towards Ellethwen "When did you arrive?" she turned towards Legolas again " Why did you never return to Mirkwood? I- I.." she stammered, grinning.

Ellethwen grinned broadly and embraced her sister. "I just arrived, not an hour ago. Yes, our brother is here, and evidently quite happy." Then, turning to face Legolas, she looked quizzically at him. "Why did you never return, muindor? The spiders have multiplied many times since your last hunt, and are becoming too numerous for our forces to control. We need the song of your bowstring in Mirkwood."

Legolas sighed, shaking his head. "I have decided not to return. After the war of the ring, I feel like a different person. I have learnt many things, and I think my place is here, in Rivendell. And, besides, Thranduil will be extremely angry, and won't allow me to leave the forest." he sighed, looking downwards. "Well, tell me sisters, what have you been doing all this time?"

Lunaryn raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "You know:killing spiders, escaping from time to time, exploring the forest... nothing interesting. That is why we escaped"
"Escaped?" Legolas asked, his eyes widening "You must leave soon. Our father knows of this mission, and will easily guess that you are here." he stood thoughtfully for a few seconds. "Eat something, you must be hungry"he finally said, pointing at the food on the table " Wait for me here" the elf walked away, leaving them alone.

Ellethwen sighed. "We cannot leave until the others come that were summoned. Thranduil cannot stop us. This is not his kingdom, and we are not his slaves. We can control our own fates now." Turning to the table of food, she selected a few delicacies and began to eat, her hunger emerging.
