Suri banked and landed as neatly as possible, trying to conceal his excitement. A dragon! An Actual Dragon!!! He shook himself inwardly. Stop acting like a hatchling! You've obviously irritated her! He gave her a decent space to get off his nose if she wanted, before examining her. "Very sorry to have knocked you out of the sky" He apologised, with sincerity, he meant it, he'd hate to be knocked about, even if he did resent bowing to the small creatures wishes. It will be worth it though....right? He reminded himself. He folded his wings and then added. "As you may have noticed, my race wasn't exactly made for dainty grace" making a dry joke.

Who does she think she is? He demanded inwardly. As he studied her, he couldn't help but be reminded of the open lavender fields reversed - her eyes, which started dark purple and lightened out with flecks of green and blue captured the scene perfectly. He took in her rat-skin packs and color-changing skin. Either she was had a new power, or she was a chameleon dragon. He decided on the latter, and wondered what color she usually wore her scales. His proud seething was replaced with wonder as he examined the small elven dragon.

He decided to answer her other question. "I was flying low to avoid being killed by demon dragon slayers" He decided that he'd bowed down enough. She was looking too smug. "Of course" He said dryly. "SOME of us may prefer to die...but I prefered not to for the sake of the princess elf dragon" He felt a little better, even though he realised that it wasn't the smartest move, he was irritated.

Analyse Sapphira III

Anna realized that she had been sitting on his snout and began to hover in midair when he landed, looking for a place to sit. She spotted a nearby boulder, and decided to sit there. She put her packs down carefully, glad that none of her ink had spilled. "Apology accepted. But for you, the best place to stay away from that demonic slayer would probably be higher into the sky, where his arrows and spears can't reach you. I'm safe down here because I'm small and fast, but I prefer the sky as well," Anna said. As she spoke, her scales changed hue to a sapphire-blue, and she looked up at the sky, which was quickly becoming overcast. "Of course, flying at the moment would not be very wise, considering the fact that a storm is brewing," she noted, using her power of weather interpretation to tell what the weather would be like.

She then heard the other dragon's comment about a princess elf dragon, and was immediately confused. Since when was there a new princess elf dragon? I didn't think Princess Skyta had died, she thought. "Princess elf dragon? The princess Skyta hasn't left her hollow since Queen Katrana died. Surely you don't think you're looking at her?" Anna said.

"It was a critism" He said dryly."Of your ever so slightly haughty manner. Although...." He turned his head to one side ever so slightly, and gave her another look over. "I could see you as a princess" He decided that complimenting her was probably best...although he meant it. She looked like a queen, a ruler. He turned his head back and rumaged in his pack for a maple root. They weren't as good as the whole tree, but they were nice to chew on when he was thinking. He began to crunch it on his back teeth slowly, enjoying the taste. He decided that he quite liked the little dragon, albeit she had a slight temper and quite a bit of attitude...but with a bit of work, she could get along with him.

He decided to ask her name. It wasn't that much information to give away, surely? "So what's your name?" He asked calmly, noticing that her scales had turned to a deep blue color that matched her eyes. "And I'm guessing that you're a chameleon dragon?" He asked.

Analyse Sapphira III

Anna's cheek scales blushed red for a few moments at his complement. She answered his questions. "I am Analyse Sapphira III, daughter of Analyse Sapphira II and Tiret Ericolin IV. And yes, I am a chameleon dragon. I suppose you assumed that due to my constant changing of colors. Who are you?" Anna studied the greater dragon for a moment as he chewed on a maple root. This dragon species gained their infamy among the slayers by uprooting and eating whole forests of maple trees in the span of a few years. Elf dragons, however, were considered minor nuisances equal to that of rodents. Foolish slayers. They don't realize an intelligent race when they see one, she thought. Dragons are among the wisest and most beautiful creatures in existence. If one had entered her mind at this moment, they would have encountered her pride in her genealogy. She was extremely proud to be of such a noble race, and she would uphold that nobility as much as possible.

She wondered if there were any dragons left besides herself and the dragon in front of her. There have to be, she thought. Surely if he exists, then there must be more elsewhere. Maybe there are even some other elf dragons out there. She smiled at the thought.

Shadow flew low as he looked for a place to rest. He had been in the air for most of the past week, and was tiring. His squirrel-skin bag felt heavy, his belongings weighing him down. Suddenly a huge shadow passed overhead, making him start in surprise. He looked up to see an ochre riding dragon sweeping overhead. His lips parted in surprise and joy. Another dragon! He flew after the larger dragon with renewed vigour. "Wait!" He called. He was so lonely, any company that didn't try to kill him was well welcome.

"My name is Suri Lohi Kaarme, and I am sometimes referred to as Suri Lohi X." He replied with a smile, happy to see that she wasn't one of the over secretive personas who held their basic details from everyone."And I am the son of Suri Lohi Kaarme IX and Isa Gorola" He added, deciding that the names of his parent's couldn't hurt. As he watched her, he wondered if she was the only other dragon left. Surely not, if there was one, there must be others, at least of the elf dragon race. It was comforting and despairing. If he was left with just elf dragons, he would be mateless forever. But surely if he had hidden??? "As I'm sure you've guessed, I'm a greater dragon, on my way to the Great Archamge." She looked like the sensible, smart type who would be trying to reach help, whilst also having some fun. He continued chewing the maple root, thinking about the journey he had ahead of him. He was getting lonely, and it would make sense for him to have some company....she could use his protection, that he knew, and her skills were useful to him, she'd probably already realized that....But should he offer to travel with her? She made good company he knew, but would she take offense?

Anna looked back at Suri. "Then we are of the same purpose," she said. "I was just leaving my tree hollow to make my way to the Archmage's castle when I ran into you." She wondered if she should ask him to travel with her. I would probably need the protection, and he might have use of my talents, she thought. It wouldn't hurt. she cleared her throat. "Would you like to travel with me? We could be useful to each other." She grinned. This would be fun. As she thought of many funny jokes to tell, she turned orange and yellow, the colors of a humor dragon.

Zarein Kiedan Matarin

Kiedan heard a small voice below him shout "Wait!" he hovered in midair, trying to find the source of the call. Where is it coming from? he thought. He then spotted a tiny figure flying upward to meet him. An elf dragon! he realized with a start. So there are more dragons. He kept himself from cheering with sheer delight, as he waited for the minuscule dragon to fly up to him. The trees here were too close together for him to land, besides, he might squash the little dragon if he did land, so he refrained from even attempting to land.

Suri's face broke into a smile. She had saved him from stuttering and confusion, which was a blessing - he would have messed up had he asked. Noticing her color change, he laughed, remembering the humor elf dragon he'd once known."I'd love to!" He replied, before adding; "I assume that you are fond of jokes then? What about riddles?" He asked, remembering some of the riddles that had once foxed him. Although she might get them, she probably knew stuff of plants that he had never thought to learn.

Analyse Sapphira III

Anna grinned. "I love riddles," she said. "I just thought of one. Would you like me to tell it to you?" She picked up her things and began hovering in midair, sensing that they might be leaving soon. She turned blue again as she looked at the sky, and then quickly turned orange once she had assessed the weather conditions. If we're going to get anywhere, we should probably leave now, because in a few hours, there's going to be a storm, and there are no caves in this forest...Well, there is one at the northern end, but Suri wouldn't be able to get into it, the opening is only the size of a large riding dragon, she thought. There are mountains nearby, I'm sure there's at least one cave up there. She reached with her mind to Suri, and spoke to him in her mind. Suri, we should leave soon, there's going to be a storm soon and I don't think there are any caves nearby. A worried look now dominated her features, and she seemed almost as if she were about to shatter into a million pieces.

He nodded, understanding, he hated getting wet unnesescarrily. "Of course." He nodded, glancing at the sky. He stretched out his wings, placing the maple root down on a rock and torching it quickly. He'd finished it, and he made sure that the fire didn't go anywhere else. He stubbed it out, then prepared to fly. "Lets go then - You can tell me the riddle on the way?" He asked, watching her gather together her belongins carefully. He checked that his bearskin pack was in place, and then looked towards the mountains. There would be caves nearby, and they stood a chance of making it there in time if they set off now. "Shall we aim for the mountains?" He checked.
