I think my eq has improved a lot. Still trying to work on not having my leg slip back as muchI would love to hear what you guys think. The venue was stunning and the jumps were so colorful and beautiful <3 I wanna go back ;D
Only 2 crits,
1. On the flat your position is awesome, just give a bit with your hands, it may just be me but your hands are rigid and don't look to be giving at all. Even if you did move your hands with the horses head I think you could lengthen your rein slightly.
2. Get your butt near the back of the saddle NOT on the pomel/withers!! Your lower leg is not the problem it's in the correct position but your upper body is wayyyy too far foward. If the horse did move his/her you would nearly be head butted. Your position could but you on the floor, if your horse tripped on landing you would eat dirt. You should be able to stand with no horse under you in your jumping position, you would not be able to do so with your position.

scene_kid wrote:@dolphin. My suggestion is think of the word push. So push your butt back and push your hands foward in one movement. Thats what I teach I shout push at them when they jump and after a while they get that so then I work on leg but your leg is fine. Going to far foward is a really common fault but one that can be quite unbalancing for the horse. From the flat your jump position should just be an inch max out of the saddle and rotation through the hips no moving foward, back or anything. Just push over the jumps.
