(maybe make your characters be in Rivendell or something and make them interact with someone. Also, typing in past tense is easier to read. Nothing is going to happen if your characters only talk to eachother.)

Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning,
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

Bellingal looks about as they ride into Rivendell. She looks at Balpheron and Gwathdien before allowing Shield-Bearer to trot excitedly into the city. She looks at Hawkeye lands on her saddle horn, the hawk looking about. She waves Gwathdien and Balpheron to either side of her, stopping the mare to buy some food for herself and the other two, along with a small amount of grain for Hawkeye. She eats an apple as she holds the grian out for Hawkeye.
Gwathdien eats the apple she is given, getting off her horse and watching it disappear into a mist, doing the same with Balpheron's horse as he dismounts. She pulls out a book, laying a hand on Shield-Bearer to guide her as she avidly reads, her main passtime obviously. She looks up at Bellingal as they stop again. She sighs quietly. Bellingal isn't sure where to go now and Gwathdien knows it. She looks around, not too sure either.

Ellethwen smiled as she sighted the first watchtower of Rivendell. "Suilaid, Ellethwen eneth nîn." The guard smiled and stepped down from his perch atop a tall boulder. "You may enter, and I presume you are here for the council?" he answered, to which she nodded. "Then pass on." Ellethwen nodded her thanks and trotted on into the heart of the last homely house.

Yes, its a bit easier to understand if you write in past tense, its kind of confusing otherwise!

It's more than just kind of. It takes me almost a minute to decipher the present tense posts because almost every other post I read is past tense.
