The Largest 2009 Single Variation hoard is an owl hoard. Since there's nothing that specifies that Malk pets can't hold that record I don't see why DerbyGirl's Hoard wouldn't qualify; especially considering Malk Owls are considered regularly released pets and are on the adoption page with dogs, cats, and rats. The Malk cats, dogs/foxes/wolves, Koi etc. would be considered specials since they are no longer released on a regular basis.

I'd wait for -Firestar-'s official word before just giving up on that record DerbyGirl. In my opinion, any pet with the proper rarity to hold the hoard record, be it a Malk Owl, a Rat or a bunny, should be allowed to since they only specified requirements are that it be common and a non-dog pet. =3

I see no reason why it should not qualify. The record says "common non-dog hoard", so it can be anything.
The largest VR nondog hoard is held by Firestar with malk kois, those aren't even regular adopts, and they still qualify ^^
