Lucien quickly grabbed her hand, pulling her up and grabbing her by the waist, setting her behind him. "Hold on, unless you want to fall off." the assassin instructed, nudging the horse into a slow walk, waiting for Sigma to get a grip so she wouldn't fall off whenever they picked up speed.

[Falls]

Sigma did as she was told, wrapping her arms around Lucien's torso and grabbing her left wrist with her right hand to lock herself in place. She had no choice but to lay her head against his back and she listened to the beat of his heart as the horse went on.

[Veins Of Opal]

Lucien had a lean, toned build, and he was decently thin, as well. Once he felt Sigma's slide her hands around his torso, resting her head on him, he was off. His heart beat loudly as he tapped the horse's sides with his heels, getting her to go into a full gallop.

[Falls]

Sigma flinched and tightened her grip in response to the sudden increase in speed, flattening herself against Lucien's back completely to make sure she stayed on. Her thighs squeezed tight against the horse's sides in an effort to keep from jostling around, but it only helped a little bit.

As Shadowmere sped through the forest path, the trees were all a blur. Her hooves gave a rhythmic beat on the earth as she galloped, and eventually, Lucien slowed the horse to a trot, then to a walk, giving the black mare a break. His hair had, surprisingly, stayed in it's ponytail, only ruffled a small bit.

[Falls]

Sigma let herself relax as the mare slowed down to a trot. She realized with an inward groan that her muscles were sore from riding and she wondered how much riding one had to do until their muscles were strong enough to not get sore. "How much further?" she asked wearily.

[Veins Of Opal]

Lucien stopped Shadowmere beside a stream, giving a sigh as he saw the sun setting. "It'll take a good few days to arrive at For Farragut. But for now, we can rest. It will do no good to get lost in the shadows." Lucien responded, waiting for Sigma to stop gripping his torso so tightly so he could dismount.

[Falls]

Sigma processed this information for a moment and then spoke. "...Okay." She unlatched herself from him and swung a leg over to one side so that Sigma could slide off of Shadowmere on her belly. Her bare feet hit the ground with a crunching of twigs and leaves and she walked away from the stream. She didn't want to get neither wet nor cold; nor both.

Lucien quickly and easily dismounted Shadowmere, turning and picking up some sticks, branches, and leaves. He started a fire, despite the still warm air as the moon rose above. He flicked his eyes to Sigma, feeling that feeling in his chest once again. He refused to acknowledge it for what it was.

Longing.

[Falls]

Sigma watched Lucien as he began to collect fuel and start a fire. Now here was something she was good at. She too began to pick up dead branches, making sure to pick the thickest ones she could find. "Can I help?" she asked, walking up behind Lucien, blue-grey eyes trained on the ground as she held the wood.
